The location was great, given it was near the train station and many iconic landmarks you will want to visit. The breakfast was nice, and we loved the space in our rooms.

The staff and room were clean, its on the smaller side but it was enough for 2 people to sleep and shower in. I only gave it 4 stars because the bathroom smelled really strong like cigarettes and the exhaust didnt work so i had to air the room out often. I would stay here again.

When I arrived at the hotel, the staff asked me to move to another hotel, saying it was bigger and better, since I would only be staying for one night. However, I couldn’t really compare, as I had never been there before.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean. Room was also clean however (and this is not the fault of cleaning staff) our bathroom had an overpowering smell of tobacco smoke from a previous customer who probably smoked in the bathroom. This was on day two and three of our stay unbearable especially in the morning when door was closed during the night and extraction was off.

We really enjoyed our stay at Augustus Lucilla. The room was spotless and comfortable. And there were plenty of restaurants and shops right next door and within walking distance. It’s about a 15 minute drive to the Vatican. The staff were also very helpful and friendly including the lovely staff at breakfast.

Perfect location for a Rome visit! We arrived by train, and the hotel was just five minutes away on foot from Termini station. As the historic sites in Rome are at least 20 minutes away, we diligently put in our steps, but the area was very safe and the hotel made us feel welcome after a long day out. Not a lot of room for suitcases in the room itself, but that’s normal overseas. Bathroom was great. Had the breakfast one day — good variety of food choices. When we left, it was nice to know we were so close to the station. Very good hotel choice and we recommend it.
