Beautiful rental apartment in Rome center at Governo Vecchio, or the street stretching over one of the city's most interesting areas, including Piazza Navona. Among its great assets, a large terrace overlooks the clock towering over nearby Piazza dell'Orologio. It sleeps up to 4 people, thus being ideal for two couples of friends or a family holiday.
The apartment is on the 3rd floor of an ancient building, with an elevator up a flight of 15 steps. There is an entrance hall that leads to the living room furnished with two sofas and two armchairs, a dining table with 4 seats, a couple of low tables, old desk and commode, all that may seem desirable for watching television and other vacation activities.
On one side of the living room, a window corridor separates the bedrooms. A double bedroom is located at one end of the corridor, it has wardrobe, suit hanger, desk and side tables, also windows with a balcony overlooking the rear of the house, with a picturesque Rome view, and an inner bathroom with shower.
The kitchen is fully equipped, and set in a separate corner of the apartment. It includes cooker, oven, microwave, kettle, dishwasher, Nespresso Coffee Maker and a wall table to put things on or sit at while cooking and eating - be it the Italian way or not - but you'd better use the dining room for a mealtime. A separate closet along the corridor contains the washing machine.
At the other end of the corridor there is a twin or double bedroom, past which you get into a small room with wardrobe, a desk with one seat, an armchair, a balcony that overlooks the rear of the house, with the same picturesque Rome view, apart from another inner bathroom with tub.
The apartment has air-conditioning units in the bedrooms and living room.
Access to the private terrace is granted solely to Clock House's renters through an external flight of steps up to the top level by steps or elevator.
The terrace is equipped with a kitchenette to make breakfast or warm up food, and also a dining table with chairs.

We really loved the apartment. The sunny terrace really made it plus the location!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was clean and tasteful and the terrace was like having a little haven in the centre of Rome. We had breakfast here and the fact that the terrace is on the upper floor was no inconvenience whatsoever. The clock tower overlooking the terrace gave it an added charm. The location of the apartment was brilliant because we were in the historic centre and yet we did not feel we were in a tourist area. The restaurants below the apartment were frequented by the locals, which was to our liking! The apartment is also within easy reach of bus stops to key destinations so we were never had to walk far to catch a bus. We found the management of the apartment excellent as they responded promptly to any concerns we had. I would certainly stay in this apartment again for my next visit to Rome.
The communication with HometoRome was excellent. Made our visit easy. The apartment was spacious and had a more modern kitchen. Happy there was an elevator on the second floor. Once in apartment, there are several small steps up or down in hallway and bathrooms. Good place for us to stay in Rome-safe and fairly centrally located.
This apartment is in a perfect place in Rome. Via del Governo Vecchio is a charming street that has a wide selection of restaurants and shops all within very close walking distance. Itâs also easy to walk to the Vatican, Ancient Rome, Pantheon, Trastevere, etc. The rooftop deck is a great place to relax and unwind after touring such a great city. Donât waste your money on a tiny hotel room in Rome. This place has everything in the heart of Rome.
This is a great apartment, very spacious, private and quiet, in the heart of the historical district. The location is superb, within walking distance of everything! The rooms are clean, beds comfortable, and bathrooms sufficient. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare breakfast; only problem was the Nespresso machine that leaked water onto the counter, so we used a stove top espresso maker which we preferred. Wonderful feature is the rooftop terrace! We had lots of questions regarding the apartment before checking in and the host was quick and friendly responding. We would definitely return.
