Poor Service and poor experience
Hi I had booked two rooms a twin room and a deluxe room with city view. When I booked in the lady on reception quoted me a credit card number that was not mine and I clearly explained it was not my credit card. Still she proceeded to book me into the room - 224 and 227. I went to room 224 and it was not ready so my husband and I waited in the corridor for the cleaners to finish )(circa 5.00pm) . We went in and unpacked. About an hour later another customer entered the room with a key card. Clearly she had been booked into the room too. A few minutes later a different member of hotel staff knocked on the door and asked me who I was. She then explained she thought the original staff member had made a mistake and booked us into the wrong room. She offered no apology and did not mention that we were not in the deluxe room we had booked. I later went down to reception and I asked about the deluxe room, she said the only thing we were missing was a coffee machine (this is not correct) and that we could have a free coffee from the bar. The next morning when I went to check out a different person on reception again asked me if I was the other customer and tried to charge me for their breakfast. Why had out details not been changed on the system? Why did I keep being asked if I was the other customer and I believe that I should have been offered a coffee machine, robe, slipppers etc given I had booked and paid for a deluxe room?
