Host was very friendly and welcoming. We had everything we needed for our trip. Very quiet and peaceful during our stay. Beautiful view and not far from the quaint little town of Roxboro. It was like stepping back in time. Would highly recommend staying here.

Such a quiet, relaxing setting. Beautiful sunrises across Mayo Lake. The host is very friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with. Hopefully this VRBO will be available the next time I’m in Roxboro for work. It was clean and had everything I needed.

This is our thrid stay at this property and we are already booked to come back in 2026. It is a perfect place on a perfect & quiet location on Mayo Lake. Corey is an awesome and responsive host. My husband and I look forward to staying at Corey's home every year. We had an entire week of perfect weather which made it even better. We spent the week either on the lake in our tandem kayak, on the dock or having our meals on the deck. The view of the lake in the morning was the perfect way to sip our coffee and begin each day!

Quick weekend get away

Well maintained property, beautiful lake view. Quick access to town and dining. Brought our paddle boards and walked them down to the lake, which was really nice since the lake did not have many boaters.

Nice place, beautiful lake view

We were in Roxboro to visit a relative and stayed here.When we arrived, the unit was neat and clean. There are two twin beds in the living area, but it is very spacious and not crowded. The kitchen area is stocked with dishes and cookware. The laundry machines in the bathroom are a plus. My husband and grandson enjoyed fishing from the shore and floating pier. They caught several blue gills and one large bass. I think the water is OK for swimming or floating in a tube, but we did not have swimsuits. We ate most of our meals on the picnic table overlooking the beautiful lake view. It was especially nice early in the morning as fog rose over the lake.We met Corey and talked with him for a while. He assured us that if we needed anything he was there to help.I recommend this for a group/family of 4 or less.

Quiet Lakefront retreat

Property was exactly as described in listing. Close to a public access ramp to unload our boat for fishing. Also the property was close to the town of Roxboro - with some wonderful small shops. Close proximity to small towns in VA. The host, Cory, was very helpful on the first night when we had a question. Location was very quiet and enjoyable. Would stay again if in the area.

Great little spot on the lake

Had a small group of friends just getting away for the night. Great little spot, with water view. It is steep walk down to the water but very nice location. Thanks for letting us stay.

Another Great Stay!

My husband and I discovered this property last year for a 35th anniversary trip. We loved it so much that we booked again this year! Corey and his property do not disappoint...we had a fabulous week. Beautiful views to start and end our days, lots of stars at night and clear water in Mayo Lake. The fishing was good. We brought our new tandem kayak and explored Mayo Lake every day but one (it rained that day). It was so peaceful and relaxing...the perfect escape from work! Corey is a wonderful host. We have already booked next year's getaway. Be sure to plan on going to the Old Country Club Steakhouse for the most wonderful filet mignon. Not a fancy place, but boy the steak is fantastic!

Manager was very helpful

Looked like a wonderful place to stay and was looking forward to my stay. That was untul i arrived and found out it was double booked. Had to find my own place with NO help from vrbo. The manager couldn't have been better, but double booked doesn't leave him opions. Would give him a five star. Vrbo gets zero. If i had wanted a hotel rm i would have booked one.

Perfect getaway

Me and my boyfriend came here for our first vacation together. It was everything we were looking for and more. It’s secluded, quiet and charming. If you’re looking for a nice, clean, relaxing stay with a beautiful view, then you need to book here.

Peaceful and quiet

Pretty much exactly what is described. Clean and quiet on a beautiful lake. The host was kind enough to answer any questions we had and it was a pleasure to enjoy the lake some. Accommodations were clean and well appointed. My wife and Iboth commented we could have stayed there longer as opposed to only one night as this was just a stop along the way . Such a special place

We've stayed here numerous times and it's our favorite. The host is terrific, informative, supportive, interactive while at the same time allowing you complete privacy. It's a serene place on the lake and the views from the bedroom are spectacular when you wake up and see the sun rising. The porch is an awesome place to sit in the morning and have coffee (although we go mostly during the colder months of the year). The kitchen is nicely stocked with updated appliances and a Keurig as well. The bedroom is a nice size and the bed is large and comfy. Bathroom is spacious and includes a washer/dryer, walk-in shower and nice vanity. Like I said, it's our favorite place and plenty of relaxing space for a couple or small family.
