Great to have the quaint old pub as part of the hotel. Lovely surrounding area, quirky place. Great shower products and individuality decorated room. Comfortable bed. We opted for the cheapest and smallest room as this was a quick overnight stay for a wedding party nearby. Room was definitely cosy. Breakfast was great in the lovely conservatory room overlooking the gardens and rocks.

My wife and I have stayed at The Mount Edgecumbe several times, and it never disappoints. The hotel is old but very well-maintained and stylish. Our room was second to none, and then we came to breakfast in the conservatory. Absolutely lovely. Well worth the money, and the staff are really a step above the norm. Well done to all.

Lovely hotel, room too small

Really nice hotel, breakfast was a highlight and the rooms were decorated really nicely. However, we booked a 'double room' but it was so small. Way too small for 2 people and luggage (plus it had no wardrobe or chest of drawers). Disappointing as the rest of the hotel was nice so would recommend booking a category up.

Our stay at the Mount Edgcumbe was genuinely exceptional. My wife wasn’t feeling well during our visit, and the manager and staff showed such warmth and care — nothing was ever too much trouble. Their kindness and attentiveness really stood out and made us feel completely looked after. The room was beautifully appointed, with everything we could need, and the bed was especially comfortable. We also appreciated how easy it was to come and go thanks to the private entrance — such a thoughtful touch that added to the overall convenience. The dining room is simply lovely, with a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere, and the food was consistently very good — clearly prepared with care and attention to detail. From start to finish, it was a welcoming experience that far exceeded our expectations.

Concert break

Overnight stay to attend a concert in the Assembly Rooms. Lovely hotel in nice surroundings. Excellent room and delicious breakfast. Would like to have stayed longer
