A most magnificent setting

The Matauwhi Bay Manor was the most magnificent vacation holiday place we have ever stayed in.The ground was stunning with gardens, trees, and “bush” surrounding this large Manor House. The views in three directions where of the beautiful Matauwhi Bay with picturesque boats anchored all the way around. The interior of the manor felt like we were staying in Downton Abbey. Our hosts Bruce and Diana were just as friendly and as accommodating as could be. Our freshly cooked breakfasts were a delight to behold and to eat. On a fishing trip we caught a 12 pound snapper and then Diana prepared it three ways, including sashimi. To say it was a delicious meal is to understate how good it was! We spent several hours on the private beach listening to the ripple of the waves and watching sailboats drift by. This is truly a travelers paradise. Look forward to coming back here.

This stunning property is flawless. It is so quiet & only minutes from the town of Russell. The rooms are huge & perfect with amazing views of the bay. The house is WOW. From tv room to billiard room;indoor spa pool;star gazing from the hot tub, etc etc. The hosts Diana and Bruce go out of their way to make your stay special. Oh,and the food!!!!!!!!!

What a beautiful property set up on the hill. Have never felt so welcomed. The view over the bay from our room was spectacular. Our bed was very comfortable bedding luxurious. Bathroom was beautiful.
