Horrible experience! They wanted me to pay more than I already paid, and then they couldn’t explain to me why, because they didn’t speak English. None of the taxi drivers could find the place. I had to program the address into my phone on google maps to lead the taxi driver to the location. Finally found out it was Expedia’s fault for spelling the name incorrectly. The name of the hotel is the Ztand By, not the Stand! It was past midnight when we finally found the place. My daughter went into the lobby to verify we were at the right location (because the name on the building was different that what Expedia called it). As soon as she walked in, the guy at the front desk just handed her a key to a room. She was dumbfounded, so she came out to the taxi and got me. I went in to talk to the guy and he immediately realized his error and demanded the key back from my daughter. Whatever, but why did he hand out a room key to a random stranger in the middle of the night. Made me very leary of what goes on there at night! Once we straightened out our booking (a very difficult process accomplished through use of notes, a copy of my reservation email saved on my phone, and a phone call that the guy made to someone who spoke broken English) we made our way to our room. The hotel itself was very clean, and once we were safely in our room with the door locked, we had no further issues.
