Perfect Place to Enjoy the Duoro Valley

Absolutely beautiful from beginning to end. Staff super nice and helpful, room comfortable and well appointed, grounds and view just stunning, food & wine delicious. Just be aware it could be challenging with mobility issues.

beautiful property 15 minute walk from pinhao. Wonderful restaurants on site. If you need a taxi seems to be difficult to get and we had to walk there. Staff booked taxi for the next day to get back to pinhao but were reluctant to do so - suggested we call them!!

Very memorable single night stay in this beautiful property. Delicious dinner in the Cozinha da Clara restaurant. We loved the winery tour at 6pm and enjoyed walking among the vines the next morning.

Our stay at Quinta de La Rosa was absolutely perfect. First of all, the property is beautiful. The rooms are large and have everything you need, including complimentary craft beers. The restaurant was one of the best we had in Portugal with the best red wine I’ve had. Their complimentary breakfast was also amazing. We had to leave early before breakfast on our last day and they offered to give us take home breakfast which I’ve never experienced at any other hotel. 13/10 would definitely recommend!

OMGosh this is the prettiest hotel. Right on the Douro River. Every nook is a surprise. All the rooms are slightly different so choose wisely and be specific. We had a wonderful dinner in the the restaurant. All the food was very good, just be aware if you have food restrictions etc. as "no dairy/milk" seems to be get confused. Just ask to speak to someone who knows as they actually pride themselves on being able to accomodate Gluten and Dairy free . Having said this, the breakfast is super nicely done. You will not be dissappointed.

The rooms are lovely with great views of the Douro. We did the tour of the cellars and tasting with the wonderful Patricia.It would have been nice to have comfy chairs by the windows n the room for the price paid tho. The restaurant is overpriced and was a big disappointment for the price paid. If you order starters, main, dessert and wine, expect to pay close to €200 a couple which is ridiculous. Cost of wine is triple what the retail price is which prohibited us from trying it. Seems like an odd decision by management when they should be promoting their products at a lesser mark up. Dinner experience tainted an otherwise nice stay. There is nothing to do in Pinhao aside from the boat tour also.
