Fantastic stay as always!

No fault of the actual staff, I assume this is due to understaffing choices by management, but, they agreed to hold my suitcase and said somebody would be there when I needed to pick it up, and when I got there, there was no one and I ended up waiting for about 45 minutes. There's a note to go to the Best Western a few blocks away, but, come on, guys....

It is a small spot downtown. This is great if you want to be able to walk to explore without having to deal with driving. The rooms are clean and modern.

The property was in the heart of downtown Davis and allowed us to walk to restaurants and other venues without having to be concerned about parking.
The property itself has been tastefully updated and was pleasant to stay in.

Bad value, insanely drafty doors

The breakfast was about the worst I EVER had in a hotel in the US, and that is saying something since most of them are terrible to begin with. The room itself, while clean and reasonably comfortable had a door that acted more like a curtain than a door. The gaps around where so large, cold air was coming in all through the night, the AC used for heating was an incredibly loud old thing that desperately needed a new filter. We turned the AC off since it was way too loud to sleep with, even with ear plugs, and the room took about 10 minutes to be COLD.
So, while it's in a convenient location, has very friendly staff, a reasonably warm shower, the rest is is terrible value. A typical motel is better at half the price.

This is my go-to hotel when I’m in Davis visiting my lovely lady.

Stayed here while visiting my son who lives in Davis and it was great. Breakfast had lots of options, the staff was friendly and helpful and I even witnessed there acts of kindness to others that were not guests. The only downfall is parking- they don't have enough spots for all guests and non guests do park there but there is plenty of street parking, would stay here again!
