The first room I was given smelled as if it was smoked in. But the manager was very accommodating to give me another room that was basically an upgrade. I prefer a room that is carpeted over the hardwood floors that this property has. Oh well. And the property is a little too close to the freeway...there are no "quiet" rooms. With all due respect, another choice next time in Sacramento.

The hotel was great since we arrived by Amtrak so it was easy to get to, but the guy at the desk was not friendly and not helpful. We went down in the morning to see if they had a breakfast and it was almost non-existent. Would stay there again though if we ever travel to Sacramento by train.

Nice room - close to Old Town

Rooms were newly painted & room was VERY clean. Our only criticism was the bed. It creaked when we got in or out & the mattress was sloped on my side. Small issues. I didn’t see a microwave. Our check in was great. Staff was really nice & gave us ideas for food.
