The OVO Network team’s opinion - Grand Mazot La Chandelle is a beautifully-renovated farm building in Bionnassay, a small hamlet above the busy resort of Saint-Gervais (8km), but you'll feel as if you're in the middle of nowhere and yet, you’ll be just 15 minutes from the slopes!

The mazot sleeps up to four guests, with one bedroom and a shower room. It's rare to find such well-appointed properties for small groups, especially detached ones!

The ground floor has a dining room, a well-equipped kitchen with a washing machine, a shower room with WC and a seating area with a sofa and chairs. There's no television in the mazot but there is wifi, and the owners have provided a selection of board games.

Upstairs, there's a delightful bedroom under the eaves, with a large double bed and two single beds. Head height is restricted, but the abundance of beams and the windows with heart-shaped shutters make this a very cosy space.

Outside, there's a table with bench seating where you can enjoy a drink or a meal in front of the stunning mountain views.

The mazot enjoys a peaceful and secluded location, just 200 meters from the main road, and is accessible via a paved road. During the winter season, this road is cleared of snow daily, but please note that snow tires and chains are mandatory to access the property. A 4x4 vehicle is strongly recommended in case of heavy snowfall.

Groups can book the Grand Mazot La Chandelle with Chalet La Chandelle (12) and/or the Petit Mazot La Chandelle (2 guests), giving a total capacity of up to 18 guests.

The mazot enjoys a peaceful and secluded location, just 200 meters from the main road, and is accessible via a paved road. During the winter season, the main road is cleared of snow daily, but please note that you will need snow tyres and chains to access the property. A 4x4 vehicle is strongly recommended in case of heavy snowfall. Because the chalet is a converted "mazot" or outbuilding, space is limited. There is restricted head height in the bedroom and facilities are limited: e.g. there is no wardrobe or bedside lights in the bedroom and the beds, although comfortable, are low. The size of the kitchen means there is no dishwasher. A car park is available 200m from the mazot. Parties are not permitted in order to respect the tranquillity of the village.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
We require a security deposit of €1,000 via a pre-authentication of your credit or debit card, which does not affect your card balance. The pre-authentication will be released as soon as we’ve checked the property and confirmed there is no damage. This is normally done right after your stay, but it could take up to 14 days after your departure.

If you cancel your booking and are due a refund, we will deduct any third party payment processing or foreign exchange fees related to the booking that we have been charged from the amount refunded.
