Family week in rural Normandy

Our family of 5 adults and 3 children enjoyed staying in rural Normandy. The house is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. The en-suites do not have toilets. There are 2 separate toilets with no windows, one on each floor, ok if you all know each other! However
. This was a planned self catering holiday and we were severely limited as the oven is broken ( and has been for months). The kitchen sinks do not drain we resorted to bailing out dirty water onto the adjacent field. There is a significant leak on the water tank - we had to empty a plastic bowl each day to avoid the hall being flooded. We could say more. There is a lack of general maintenance. Bedroom doors don’t shut, one upstairs is broken the other you cannot open from the inside so easy to get locked in. WiFi is poor but picked up at the end of the week. We house needs a good clean, as do the windows. We contacted Novasol before and during our stay to try and get problems fixed. Answers such as “all plumbers are on holiday” don’t help. Such a shame a lovely house spoilt by lack of maintenance. Not what we paid for!!!

Maison trÚs bien placée

Une maison Ă  mi-chemin (10 mn) entre l'adorable station balnĂ©aire des Petites Dalles et celle plus grande de Veulettes avec son club de voile. TrĂšs bien situĂ©e, lieu calme, voisins charmants. Disposition pratique pour ĂȘtre Ă  l'aise Ă  2 familles, avec un Ă©tage indĂ©pendant (son salon de jeux, sa salle de bains...). Beaucoup de jeux pour les petits enfants,a l'intĂ©rieur comme Ă  l'extĂ©rieur. Terrasse bien exposĂ©e, de nombreuses chaises et de quoi prendre des bains de soleil en pleine nature (pas de vis Ă  vis) Point nĂ©gatif du sĂ©jour : four inutilisable, ce qui Ă©tait connu visiblement de la propriĂ©taire, mais non signalĂ© sur l'annonce. Cuisiner pour une grande famille pendant 15 jours sans four, ce n'est pas Ă©vident. Au bout d'une semaine, Novasol nous a proposĂ© finalement une solution, ils ont Ă©tĂ© joignables et assez rĂ©actifs. NĂ©anmoins j'aurais apprĂ©ciĂ© d'avoir l'info avant, je n'aurais pas choisi cette location si j'avais su qu'il n'y avait aucun moyen de cuire quiches, cakes, lasagnes... Autre point de progrĂšs : un de mes enfants a les yeux sensibles tendance migraineuse, et il a Ă©tĂ© gĂȘnĂ© par l'Ă©clairage 100% Led trĂšs blanc et trĂšs fort dans la salle principale (uniquement des plafonniers, aucune source de lumiĂšre indirecte pour faire plus "cosy" le soir, c'est dommage car par ailleurs cette salle est jolie et bien amĂ©nagĂ©e). PropretĂ© moyenne : bouilloire complĂštement entartrĂ©e, plusieurs vitres sales et besoin de passer un coup dans le frigo. Mais bon sĂ©jour glpbzlement

De belles vacances de Noël en famille

Un bel endroit pour sĂ©journer en famille. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas eu quelques bĂ»ches pour un premier feu dans le poĂȘle...les tĂ©lĂ©visions ne fonctionnaient pas mais elles ont pu ĂȘtre rĂ©parĂ©es au 5e jour. Un excellent sĂ©jour de NoĂ«l.
