Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort
We stayed for one night and unfortunately did not enjoy our stay. We arrived late due to a long journey. Upon checking in reception staff were helpful. When we got to our room we had noticed the bathroom was not well cleaned. There was a lot of mould on the accessibility facilities, we were not using these and choice not to use the shower facilities due to this. My concern was that those required this would have to use these and in my opinion a poses a health risk. Finally after getting into bed after a long day we looked up and above the bed (below the bunk bed) there was what appears to be bodily fluid (bloodied) sweared all across the bed. Unfortunately at this point we decided it was too late to change rooms and had to sleep on the opposite end. We checked out early as we did not want to stay any longer. I mentioned this at reception. I feel the receptionist did not feel apologetic and felt like it was not worth the time. We got a simple “oh thank you for letting me know.” In my opinion this is a huge health hazard and even though this is a budget hotel this should not be a standard. We only had one night luckily but due to this we left the moment we woke up to get home and clean. I personally would never normally review but on this occasion I feel this is needed due to the nature.
