Amazing great food great service nice clean cozy rooms
Lovely country inn with rooms above the tavern. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The Sunday roast was fabulous. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a nice breakfast sitting by the fireplace on a chilly morning.
Our stay was very comfortable and we enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the pub. The pizza was absolutely fabulous and they had cask ale as well as a nice selection of other beers as well. The breakfast was good with fresh fruit, granola, pastries and of course the full english breakfast as well. In the room was a french press pot and kettle, fresh ground coffee (regular and decaf) and tea. They also provided a container of milk which stayed cold overnight in an insulated metal thermos and sugar cubes. The shower was hot with good water pressure. The beds were comfortable and there were pillows of different thicknesses and materials, which was nice. A fan and open window meant we were very comfortable in the mid-september weather. There was a bit of road noise in the morning but it wasnt disturbing and ear plugs were provided but neither of us used them. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Would stay here again!
Stayed here for my very first night in England. I absolutely loved the employees! The room was very clean.
All of the employees were so kind. The price includes an amazing breakfast! We also had pizza and a great dessert!
Absolutely loved this place. Beds were very comfortable and facilities were great. Dinner and breakfast was fabulous. We used it as our base for an early morning walk to Stonehenge.
Friendly staff. Nice room. Parking a bit of an issue. I feel that if you stay the night you should have a parking spot reserved. People turning up for dinner take all the car spaces so your left without a park even though you have payed to stay !!
I arrived to check in with a last minute booking on Hotels.con and and the hotel was closed. I already pained but figured it wouldn’t be a big deal and found another hotel. Later that night I tried to see if I could get a partial refund which I think is completely reasonable as the room was not used annd booked last minute so it’s not like I took any business away but they declined. Technically they are in the right, I didn’t arrive before the 10pm check in but the made no phone calls or emails to see if I was on the way. Customer service is non existent anymore. Went to the local Holiday inn who squeezed me in a room late at night and was very accommodating and friendly.
Very lovely room with nice touches but breakfast was a bit disappointing. Took almost 30 mins to take our order and didn't seem that busy. Think waitress needed some more help.
We were looking for a hotel near Stonehenge and had one of the best hotel experiences I've ever enjoyed! The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food and beverages are excellent. I only wish we could stay longer!
Room was so noisy it was impossible to sleep first night due to kitchen extrator fan outside room 2, mentioned it at breakfast and was told sorry it should of been turned off, second night it wasn't turned off so had to go down after 11pm, kitchen staff had left and fan was still going they had to call and ask for instructions on how to turn the fan off, after first bdays breakfast my partner had a upset stomach, second day we both had upset stomach, never had to do a review this bad before,
I stayed for a wedding in the local area and the accommodation was perfect for this. The staff were very nice and accommodating, the room was great and the breakfast the next morning was superb.
