Good, but could have been better

Great front desk staff and friendly helpful service. Room was a bit small and slightly musty smelling and unfortunately housekeeping did only a cursory cleaning between our stay and the prior guests. Still some hair on the sink and no extra toilet paper with only a small half roll available.

Pretty and good location

Very pretty hotel. Rooms are small and double bed very small. Good location and very clean. They don’t speak English and cater more to Mexicans which didn’t bother me at all even though I don’t speak Spanish I managed to communicate. We had a triple and had to ask for a third towel every day for 4 days. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced

A colonial gem with modern conveniences & comfort

The Hotel San Marcos was a second stop in San Cristobal dlc and it was a delightful respite. The hotel was clean and appointed beautifully. We (my mom and I) had been staying at another colonial property in the city with a tour group and due to illness had to stay behind in San Cristobal before heading home. When we arrived at Hotel San Marcos we were impressed with everything we saw and with everyone we met. Laundry was sent out and received back in two hours, the room was cozy and when I asked for extra blankets the desk manager offered a room heater. I will choose Hotel San Marcos anytime I am in San Cristobal.

Hotel close to the andador and churches

The staff was really nice and servicing. The mattress was confortable for me, but the the pillows were a bit uncomfortable. They have different types (soft,med,hard) but overalll the style of the hotel is great to my liking and preference. Recommend...

A very comfortable bed/mattress. However the room was cold and dark. I did not want to get out of bed in the morning! Nice hot water however and the staff was lovely.

Nice quiet hotel - close to sites

No central heat - so bring a sweater - it is cool in January - no English spoken - good breakfasts - small quaint hotel - easy walk to central church and transportation - I would stay there again

No more than nice

The room is nice and the bed was wow (so comfortable and big...), but if the wifi is bad in all San Cristobal, in hotel San Marcos is even worse! The stuff was nice, until they had to help in something, and then they failed. I will love to comeback to San Cristobal but Not to San Marcos hotel (specially not alone).
