The House
You are renting an entire home with approximately 600 square feet of space. Our previous guests have liked the location for their family retreat to the Zoo or Sea World bc they are both very convenient. The cozy living room for a quiet evening later in the day is waiting for you. The property features a full kitchen equipped with all-electric appliances. The living room includes a wood-burning stove insert for winter fires. For climate control, the house is equipped with an electric wall heater and two window air conditioners. This charming bungalow offers all the comforts of home and is reminiscent of the close-knit enclave of Ocean Beach from the 1960s.

Parking
Luckily we have a driveway. Two cars can park in tandem in the driveway; one behind the other. There is quite an angle to the driveway entrance so longer vehicles like RV or extra long trucks should park on the street. Street parking is often challenging in Ocean Beach.

The Bedrooms
There are two rooms, one is a master with an ensuite bathroom. The bathroom is a shower/tub combo with a shower curtain for easy bathing of young children. The other room is small but easily fits a cot we have put a good foam mattress there for a person who is about 6 feet tall. It is not as wide as a double bed and only accommodates one. The fourth person would sleep on the couch. It is comfortable but does not pull out into a bed. See the photos please.

THE BATHROOM
Double sinks, magnifying makeup mirror with shower curtain to make it easier to bath children. You must walk through the master bedroom to use the bathroom. Fresh towels with soaps and shampoos are available and there is a blow dryer.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD And RULES
The property is situated in a neighborhood that embodies the Ocean Beach spirit. Please note that it is not part of the new condo era, maintaining a unique character. It’s worth noting that at least one guest in your party must be 25 years old or older. The property has a strict policy against parties, events, or film groups. Unfortunately, no pets are allowed, and smoking is also prohibited. The property is licensed with the number 02738L.

AMENITIES
Within walking distance of the property, you’ll find various amenities. These include coffee shops, tea houses, Mexican food restaurants, a Vegan Raw Food establishment (Peace Pies), cleaners, bars, a 7/11 store, and Red Box video rentals. For entertainment, we provide a smart ROKU TV (use your Netflix and Hulu accounts) along with a DVD player.

LAUNDRY
For your convenience, there’s a front-loading stacked laundry in the bungalow. This means you can easily take care of your laundry needs during your stay.

DISHES
The property is well-equipped for meal preparation. You’ll find dishes, mugs, glasses, pots, pans, and small appliances available for your use. This includes a microwave, Mr. Coffee machine with filters, tea-making facilities, a toaster, and a blender. While there’s no dishwasher, a dish drainer, soap, and towels are provided for washing dishes. The refrigerator is full sized, the stove/oven is glass top.

INSURANCE
If you anticipate any travel-related issues, especially for longer stays, it’s advisable to purchase travel insurance. One recommended option is TravelGuard. Having travel insurance can provide peace of mind in case unexpected events disrupt your plans.
OCCUPANCY. Please note that this cozy bungalow accommodates up to four people comfortably, with a cot for a third person and a couch for a fourth person for sleeping. We do not encourage groups over 4. The 5th person has a daily additional charge and would need their own mat for the floor. We have extra comforters. You’ll also have parking space for two vehicles in the driveway.
AIRPLANE NOISE
Keep in mind that Ocean Beach is in the flight path, so there may be intermittent noise from flights 6:00AM to 11:30PM. Some people can ignore the noise but some people cannot. A white noise machine is provided for your comfort.
ATTRACTIONS. The property’s location is convenient for accessing popular San Diego attractions, including Sea World and the San Diego Zoo. Old Town San Diego, with its many restaurants and entertainment options, is also nearby.

Amazing experience

Very disappointing quality of property

Hugely disappointed with the quality of the property. First off, the exterior metal front door does not latch nor lock at all. Patio furniture in front yard is rusted, poor quality of cushions, does not back on to green lush hedge as in photos but looks into rundown, messy neighbor yard. Cushions for living room couch and chair need thrown out - ripped in back, poor quality, not at all as in photos. In fact couch and chair should really be replaced. No way could anyone sleep on the couch as it says is one of the "sleep 4" beds. Lack of cable TV greatly limits television watching for guest "down time". Fold down bed in second room would be impossible for any adult to sleep on as noted as one of the "sleep 4" beds. Main bed was comfortable. There is no space anywhere in the property to put luggage and no drawers etc. to place belongings. Only place to hang items is in the room with the fold down bed, but then it greatly limits space to move around in that tiny room. Two sinks in bathroom is convenient, but photos in ad fail to show that the space behind the second sink is less that two feel to the wall, so it limits access. Shower had 6 shampoo bottles on the ledges (yuck!) and a multitude of partially full bottles under the bathroom sink. Drawers in bathroom were dirty. Washer and dryer were convenient but their placement limits the ability to access the back door exit. Kitchen was okay. Lots of owner's personal stuff in cupboards. Overall house was dirty. Disappointing!

Great place for a Weekend

It’s quiet, clean, no one bothers you. Definitely book for a weekend trip, and they give you binder to give you all the information you could possibly need. You can call them for help if needed which is a plus!

Accurate Property Listing

Property was as described. There was a great washer and dryer inside as well as a very comfortable bed in the master bedroom. The third small futon bed was very small. Two out of three of us hung over the edge when we tried laying on it. It’s definitely more suitable for a small child than an adult. There were some cleanliness issues with inside and outside the property. It’s an older neighborhood and there are some pavement issues with the road in the driveway. The front end of my car was very scratched up from going up and down the ragged driveway. However, I do feel like this was described pretty accurately in the listing so I knew to expect it.

The Bungalow

The stay was comfortable. It should be listed as sleeps 3 adults though. Because the converted closet sleeps 1 adult comfortably on the lounge sleeper. The Bathroom being located in the bedroom wasn't convenient for everyone since we was not all related. Loved the location!

Small but as described

We only needed to stay two nights so the size was fine. This fit our needs. I know the airplane noise was in the description's but the planes were louder than we anticipated. That was our only concern since a couple of planes woke us up at 4:45am.

Cute bungalo

The house itself is cute and clean, but the neighborhood is quite sketchy. There were homeless people sleeping in their car and exchanging unknown, but presumably illicit things right across the street. The airplanes are indeed loud from 6am to 11pm. The one queen bed is really squeaky and not the most comfortable mattress. The couch that is advertised as a bed is also not comfortable. This met our needs for the weekend, however, we won’t be back due to the location and the house set up wasn’t ideal for us. It was clean tho! Host was very communicative and friendly!

The bungalow was definitely the best place to stay in San Diego! Pretty much everything is 15-20 mins away (like the best beaches and attractions) Good parking as well for two vehicles! The owner was very quick to respond to questions. I’m definitely going to be utilizing this property again

Cute Little Bungalow

This is a cute little bungalow. Description in listing is pretty accurate, but didn’t include that only one window in the entire home opens. All others are painted shut. This property is close to the beach and cools down nicely in the evenings, so it would have been nice to open up the windows for some air at night and to remove the musty smell from the property upon arrival. There is a security screen that would have also allowed for outside air flow, but the locks don’t work on it. The two window air conditioners were sufficient to cool the bungalow, but were very loud. The owner was very responsive when contacted. This is a budget-friendly place for someone who wants to visit San Diego.

Perfect Space

We stayed for just two nights but it was absolutely perfect for us! It was close to everything we wanted to do, including the airport for our departure. You can hear the airplanes but they didn’t keep us from sleeping. It was a little difficult confirming the address, maybe a little more visible house number would be helpful. All in all a great stay! Great spot!

Our family of 4 enjoyed this cute bungalow for our visit to OB. So fun to feel part of the neighborhood and be so close to local spots. Very well appointed kitchen, cute decor, and cozy living room. Only downside - loud planes- but kind of got used to them after awhile.
