Room was very clean, staff was nice and helpful, coffee was tasty. Bar had a good vibe although we got tired of the music selection but that is just personal preference. We are from the Midwest…ha! The room is very small but manageable.

I don’t often write reviews but the Moxy San Diego Gaslamp bed was top 3 most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. Each day my husband and I woke up with back pain which was not fun for a trip we would be walking a lot. I’ve been a fan of Moxy hotels but now I don’t feel confident to book again because of how uncomfortable the bed was. It felt worse than a pullout couch mattress. Glad to be home now. Other than the bed the service and cleanliness was up to par and the bar staff was great. If you don’t mind an uncomfortable mattress, you’ll enjoy your stay for sure.
