When we first arrived and got to our room, I noticed a stain on one of the pillows. After checking the other pillows and pulling back the sheet, I found multiple stains and what appeared to be clusters of black dots, possibly mold. We went downstairs to speak with who I believe was the hotel manager, and he was very apologetic. He handled the situation quickly and got us a new room with no hassle. He even came up with us and personally checked the sheets to make sure everything looked better, which I really appreciated.
Once it was time to settle in for the night, we pulled back the sheets and noticed the fitted sheet in the new room was slightly ripped. When I went to take a shower, the shower curtain had stains on it, possibly hair dye (I hope). The room was also a handicap-accessible room, so the shower was just open tile with a curtain separating it from the toilet and sink. Because of this setup, water would pool and spread across the bathroom floor and wouldn’t dry, so we ended up using hand towels and even napkins to dry it up.
Overall, the staff was genuinely kind and very helpful, and they tried their best to make things right. However, the cleanliness and condition of both rooms were disappointing. The location also isn’t the best (not hotel managements fault), especially if you plan on walking anywhere for food after sunset.
