This is a great place to stay if you want to be near San José for a few days. We wanted to be near the airport to pick someone up in the evening and it was less than 30 minutes away. The house is spacious and has good wifi and there is a nice garden around the house. We stayed for a few days to explore San José and it's easy to get an Uber to the city center if you don't want to drive there. Martin and Christian were very good at communicating and accommodating our check in and check out times. We would love to stay there again if we need to spend time in San Jose.

Barva Property Review

The house is spacious and airy, and the yard also is large and nicely landscaped. The house sits further back from the road than most houses in Costa Rica, but there is still a lot of road noise for someone coming from the United States. The property manager was pleasant, responsive, and helpful, with a good command of English. We do have some suggestions for improvement: (1) keep more towels in the bathrooms; (2) add towel racks in bathrooms to allow for drying of towels; (3) supply paper towels for kitchen; and (4) add toaster to kitchen. The house does not have air conditioning but it does have ceiling fans, which were adequate for us.

Nice place with plenty of space for family

Overall is a nice home with very attentive property management and plenty of room inside for a large family or group. The only negative we experienced was that the house had a lot of ants. We have stayed in central America many times and therefore are not surprised when we see a few bugs, but this was a major infestation. To the property manager’s credit, they worked very hard to rectify the situation and came out to heavily treat the house multiple times to control the ants after we complained. However, it still made for this being a less than ideal experience.

A peaceful oasis

There property has everything we needed and was the perfect sanctuary for us to explore more of the country. Cristian was a friendly and knowledgeable contact who helped in many other ways beyond the house and property. Highly recommended.

Best of all worlds.

This property and the manager made the whole rest of our trip more enjoyable and successful. This home provided the perfect beginning and ending to our trip. The manager was extremely helpful even while we traveled to other parts of the country. We enjoyed it so much at the beginning of our trip that we called back and booked it to spend the last few days of our vacation. Highly recommended property and manager.

Stately chateau

We loved this house! Full of character but with updated amenities. There are beautiful new bathrooms and a remodeled kitchen. High quality bed linens and a very comfortable master bed. The fully fenced yard allowed the dogs to run safely. The road is busy but it didn't bother us at all. Great location. Just a short drive up the mountain to a beautiful park and close to the city. Our host was easy to reach and very attentive. We had a lovely getaway.
