Casa Pamela is paradise! A gorgeous private home with a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean, its own pool to cool down from the Nicaraguan heat, a thatch-covered "rancho" to laze in the hammock reading and to serve outdoor dinners watching stunning sunsets into Playa Nacascolo. We stayed for four weeks in February/March of 2026 and will definitely be returning! The home is spacious, colourful, and inviting. It proved larger than we expected. All bedrooms are air conditioned. The master bedroom has a sliding door out to a balcony overlooking the pool--the perfect spot for morning coffee, shaded from the midday sun. The kitchen has all the amenities desired. We cooked terrific meals throughout our stay, purchasing fresh seafood from the fish market by the wharf and fresh produce from the many locally run markets.San Juan del Sur has scores of restaurants and bars, all within walking distance of Casa Pamela. The hill up to the property is steep (500 metres long and likely 100 metres of elevation), but the walk into town is reasonable, taking about 35 minutes. There is a resort at the foot of the hill, as well as a restaurant with infinity pool called Villa Francia a stone's throw away that we loved for wood fired pizzas on Sundays. Stacey is a wonderfully attentive owner, and Francisco, our host, was extraordinary throughout our stay--he would even drive into town to pick us up when we didn't feel like walking home. Casa Pamela is a hidden gem!
