The property is beautiful and well kept. The island for the beach needs better property maintenance. Papers and bottles left from one day to the next, chairs not cleaned off. Good selection of restaurants. 99 percent of the staff is very nice and friendly. There are those that are down right rude. A lot of walking to get to the tram and then ferry to the beach. In general its a beautiful resort.

This is our 3rd time visiting. It's still beautiful after 20 years. The staff was accommodating and nice... They work hard to keep the property nice. There's plenty of things to do for adults and kids.

We recently stayed at El Conquistador Resort for a family getaway, and while the property itself is breathtaking, our experience had a mix of highs and lows. 🌴 The Good: • The resort grounds are stunning, with panoramic views that truly take your breath away. • The pools and surrounding areas were well-maintained and clean, making it easy to relax and enjoy the scenery. • The private island was a highlight—serene, picturesque, and a unique experience. We rented a cabana, which came with complimentary water and fruit, though service was limited after the initial setup. • Staff across the resort were consistently friendly and welcoming. • Our room was spacious, with a large, clean bathroom that felt luxurious. 🍽️ The Not-So-Good: • For a resort of this caliber, the food was disappointing. It was expensive and lacked flavor, and the kids’ menu offered little variety—essentially the same option at every venue. • The shower was a letdown. Despite maintenance efforts, the water remained cold, which was frustrating after a long day. • The air conditioning was another issue. It wouldn’t cool below 68°F, and even after maintenance adjusted it to 65°F, the room became warm overnight. • Given the size of the resort, we expected more kid-friendly activities. There’s definitely room to expand offerings for families traveling with children. Overall: We enjoyed our stay, but left feeling that the experience didn’t quite match the price tag.
