The Space:

Villa Mosaico is the ideal base camp to explore Old San Juan's history, restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. Our chic and intimate 1-bedroom - 1-bathroom boutique apartment offers a serene retreat amidst the bustling streets of San Juan.



Although laying in a calmer residential street, Villa Mosaico is a short walk from the nightlife and restaurants of Calle San Sebastian and El Morro Spanish fort.



While Villa Mosaico conserves the colonial structure of traditional Spanish architecture, with soaring ceilings, wooden windows, and welcoming ornate doors, its interior has been fully renovated to preserve its history while elevating comfort and coziness. The modern furnishings and amenities ensure you don’t miss out on today’s comforts with state-of-the-art amenities including a fully equipped kitchen, high-speed Wi-Fi, and two smart TVs. There is a full bathroom that has access through the living area and the bedroom.



The unit includes a washer and dryer in case you need to do some laundry while in San Juan. Every corner of Villa Mosaico has been meticulously curated, ensuring your stay feels both luxurious and deeply rooted in Puerto Rican heritage.





LIVING AREAS



As you enter, you’ll be greeted by traditional marbled white and black checkered floors, mix with eclectic and modern decor. Villa Mosaico has been remodeled with an eye for detail. You will enter through the living room area that features a comfortable modern sofa, a smart TV with Apple TV media box, high speed internet, and a spectacular vibrant wall paper that adds charm and personality to the unit. Villa Mosaico features three double doors balconies that you can completely open to the street or leave closed with windows to let sunlight in. Villa Mosaico has beautiful high cathedral ceilings that make the quaint apartment feel spacious.





SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS



Villa Mosaico sleeps 2 guests in a comfortable queen-sized bed adorned with plush linens for restful nights. The modern bedroom features air conditioning, a closet with hangers, room darkening shades, and a smart TV with an Apple TV media box for video streaming applications such as Netflix & Hulu. The bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with standing shower that can also be accessed though the living area.



PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY): We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.





KITCHEN



Villa Mosaico’s kitchen was just updated with new cabinets and modern black stone countertops. In Puerto Rico, we say love enters your house right through the kitchen, so you will surely spend time socializing and cooking in the beautiful kitchen island with seating for 3. There is a coffee maker, kettle, 2-burner stovetop, microwave, and fridge with ice maker. It is a small but fully equipped kitchen perfect for an extended stay.





GETTING AROUND



If staying within the general San Juan/Metro area, we recommend moving around via Uber. **This property does not include parking.**



IMPORTANT: If you need to rent a car, there are various paid parking garages around Old San Juan - pricing varies as some charge by the hour and others have a flat rate.





LOCATION



Staying in Old San Juan is a truly unique experience filled with charm and character. From Villa Mosaico, you can comfortably walk anywhere within Old San Juan. The apartment is located on one of the quieter streets but still steps away from all the action. We recommend taking a cab or Uber from the airport and using Uber while you stay at Old San Juan. Renting a car is not necessary unless you are planning on road tripping. This is a truly walkable location with everything you need a short walk away. The apartment does not include parking. Nonetheless, there are convenient parking lots close to the apartment.



There are many things to do in the surrounding areas, here are some of our favorites, all within walking distance:



Explore the El Morro Fort. There are daily tours of the fort and the large green areas have spectacular ocean views. Take a tour, have a picnic, and fly a kite. This is a must-do.



Explore the iconic Calle San Sebastian nightlife. There is a large assortment of bars on this strip which is a favorite among locals on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.



Breakfast at “La Mallorca”. This is a Puerto Rican landmark well known for its locally inspired breakfast and pastries.



Savor Stuffed Avocado. Healthy and "trendy" spot where you can create your own avocado bowl.



Take a stroll around “Paseo La Princesa”, a waterfront walkway which you can start off at El Morro and finish of the walk with a rum tasting at Princesa Gastrobar at the end of the trail.
