The room we stayed in showed its age, and was dirty upon check in. We request room service for our second day, but they never came. We then requested fresh towels at least, and had to ask 3 times before we received any. The staff appeared disinterested and annoyed during check in and check out. The pool area was nice.

I had a very nice stay at the Madonna Inn. The room was really cool, and the restaurant was gorgeous. Staff was extremely friendly all around! I highly recommend staying a night here for a fun and unique experience (and if you want to feel spoiled). I will say that the counter in my room's bathroom (San Francisco)was very close to the toilet which I hit my head on in the middle of the night. Not sure if anything can be done about that or if that was just a me problem haha, but other than that, it was a lovely stay :)

The room was not as advertised. It had dirty/stained carpets, paint chunks out of the wall, the bathroom had ants crawling around and the shower head was falling out of the wall. The water was only coming out of less than half of the shower head holes. The bed was horrible too. Anytime one of us moved it felt like an earthquake was happening. The pillows were short and super hard. The blinds didn't fit the window and didn't close will so light was difficult to block out. The two spas didn't heat well, lukewarm at best. Honestly, terrible experience and I've stayed at this place around 10 years ago and it was great then. It has really gone to he**.

This is a resort, so most of what you desire is on the property. This is an old resort and unfortunately it is showing. My bathroom was scantily cleaned. I removed the previous occupant's hair, and chose to not look around any further than necessary. I chose this room because it has no carpeting, and I am glad that I did since the property appears to be in decline, My room was near a small garden, which was lovely, but the staff could have pointed it out upon check in. I found the staff for the inn and restaurant acted as if patrons were a nuisance, interrupting what, I don't know. I found the garden just before check out. My room had equisite woodwork, real wood, and we all know what happens to wood if it is not cared for. I won't stay again, but this historical inn should be once a lifetime on every area traveler's list. It has had its heyday, but limping along.

Madonna Inn was a spectacular getaway. We were pleased with our view from the Matterhorn room and the comfortable bed and spacious room. Delicious food options on the property and friendly staff. We can’t wait to return!!
