Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Worst hostel/hotel i have ever lived in.
Generally speaking the staff makes me feel uncomfortable in whole experience. All they were talking about was money. I booked another hotel and checked out Maktub on the same day.
Location: far from city centre, hard to get a taxi, don't consider if you're not driving.
Service:
1. Staff is unprofessional with zero English understanding.
2. I have notified the hotel via whatsapp we'll arrive at 1pm but onsite staff insisted to charge us CLP10,000 for early check-in. Later i checked with whatsapp support and they said they charged CLP15,000 for early check-in. The price varies. Later the onsite staff said no charge needed so that we got our room at 2pm. But whatsapp support insisted we needed to pay.
3. Later we requested for taxi to go out city centre. The staff said they could drive us out with a fee CLP4,000, instead of calling a taxi and wait. We accepted the offer but then the 3 staff also hopped on the truck. They needed to go out to city centre originally but they were charging us. And when they collected money from us they smiled like thieves.
Facility:
1. So-called free WiFi is a cellphone hotspot from the staff, which could only be connected near the office but not in room.
2. Swimming pool is a fountain, not for swimming.
