We make it our mission to talk with our guests to find what they are wanting to achieve from their getaway to paradise. Our property manager, Mary, is one of our greatest assets to our vacation rental adventure! She is loved by everyone she meets and goes above an beyond to guide our guests to the best tour guides, hidden jewels on the island, and little tricks to make the most of your hard earned money.
Our groundskeeper, Cornelio, works tirelessly to ensure that Sandy Bottoms Retreat's ground are in pristine condition while you are here.
At any time during your stay please note that if you have any requests to make your stay more comfortable, please do not hesitate to contact me or Mary.
Once you have booked your stay I will share Mary's Whats App contact with you, so you can give all of your travel arrival details to her. She will meet you upon your arrival and carry your luggage to Sandy Bottoms, but also give you the grand tour of this palace by the sea.

Please DO NOT use the kitchen knives to cut coconuts. We like to keep our kitchenware in perfect condition for cooking.
When kayaking please do not go beyond the piers, and never leave the kayak. There is boat traffic and we want everyone to stay safe.
If an incident does occur at house that causes something to get broken or is no longer functioning properly, please notify us so if can be fixed.

Perfect vacation!!!! The house was fully equipped with anything we could have needed! Beds so comfortable and robes to enjoy by the crystal clean pool after a long day on the water. Mary the house manager took care of us from before our trip with recommendations for everything including g excursions that picked us up right from the dock. Highly recommend Javier Fun Size tours and Marfas for massages in the upstairs palapa.

Sandy Bottoms in Early May

We had a blast with 4 couples in our group. The house was well appointed with anything you could need. The local property manager (Mary) was an absolute gem to work with. Communication before and during our trip was amazing. Same with the communication from the owners. The pool is incredible. We had a catamaran pick us up on a neighboring dock for a full day excursion which was a blast. Was nice not to have to go all the way into town to catch the boat.We fly fished and the boats picked us right up from dock. Super easy.We got some massages for the ladies on the trip from Juanita's Massage. I would highly recommend. So good we had them come back and a couple of the guys got them as well. They set their tables right under the palapa on the dock. We will definitely be looking to come back.

More than a House - It's an Amazing Experience

This location in Belize is phenomenal, this house is amazing and the people are even better! The house is much better in person than pictures can capture. From the second that you book, the house manager Mary makes it so smooth for your entire trip. Need a golf cart? Mary has a recommendation. Need to book activities? Mary has the perfect choices to suggest. She truly made the entire process seamless. We ran into some flight issues and Mary and the owner bent over backwards to find an option for us to arrive on the island the same day!We were traveling with 2 families including 4 adults and 2 kids per family with ages ranging 4-11. The bunk room was perfect for the kiddos, but would even be great for a few adults. The pool was perfect and we used it everyday. We found that staying on this Caye was idealistic for our family. You feel like a local when you are riding around in your golf cart. We did a few different outings including a day of snorkeling and island hopping with Javier Funsize tours (picked us up at the dock) and another day at Secret Beach (good for the kids but wouldn't recommend for only adults). We booked Chef Maria for one of the nights, so we could enjoy a quieter evening at the house. You can't go wrong here! It's truly more of an experience than just a house in a fabulous location.

Great Family Trip

Three generations together in this lovely house made for a wonderful spring break trip. We especially enjoyed sitting on the covered porch overlooking the ocean. Those younger than my husband and me enjoyed sitting around the pool.Mary, the house manager, couldn't have been more helpful. The house was very attractive and comfortable. It had the best equipped kitchen we've ever had in a rental. Even the knives were sharp. We had Sarita of Caribbean Cooking Creations by Chef Sarita cook dinners for us and I heartily recommend her as well.It was farther from town than we expected, about 20 minutes by golfcart. That said, I'd stay there again if we decide to go back to Belize. Our granddaughter got her scuba certification so that may happen again soon.

Home away from home

The house was just amazing from the time you walk in the door. Excellent space for a large group. We were in Belize for a family wedding. After staying at a resort for a few days we decided to find a house for the family to enjoy a little more time before leaving. The house offered everything we could need and well stocked. I loved how the owners provided a book with all their favorite restaurants on the island for ideas. Mary, the property manager, was always checking in and helped us get to the house and also to the airport with all the luggage. Cornelio, the caretaker, helped with anything we needed during our stay. He was very discrete, but you would see him outside tending to the grounds to make sure the house was perfect everyday. This house is definitely worth booking and we’re hoping to come back soon!

Family Paradise

Perfect Getaway with Stunning Views and Top-Notch Amenities

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful house with a pool. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views that greeted us. The house itself was exceptionally well-stocked, providing everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The kitchen had all the necessary appliances and utensils, making it easy to prepare meals. The bedrooms were cozy and inviting, with plenty of linens and towels available. The pool was a highlight of our stay. It was clean, well-maintained, and the perfect temperature. We spent many hours lounging by the pool, soaking up the sun, and taking in the beautiful surroundings. What truly set this property apart was the excellent support staff. They were friendly, responsive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Any questions we had were promptly answered, and they provided great recommendations for local activities and dining. Overall, this house was the perfect getaway. We couldn't have asked for a better place to relax and unwind. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic vacation spot. We can't wait to return!
