No hot food on breakfast, lunch or dinner. Mediocre at best. Staff is rude. Lost water one day in building 5. Construction noise all day everyday during day time. Needed blanket but the desk clerk didn't sent for 45 minutes. I went there personally and they sent after another 20 minutes. I wouldn't book a room at this hotel. It's the worst hotel

Room was clean. Upon arrival the language barrier was a problem. We were given a room right away but luckily security took our bags and escorted us to the room and there was someone already in it. From then on it was over 2 hours before we could get another room and that was only because two gentlemen we travelled with got a room with a king bed but required two beds. We suggested getting the king bedroom ourselves and that worked out. However, we did not get the balcony we paid for, just a simple window. We were done with trying to change rooms however. Other than having no balcony, the room was very nice.

Beds are rock solid. Food was horrible at best. The staff was awesome tho which was the only saving grace. We ended up eating out for lunch and dinner every night after one person in our group got violently ill and ended up in the hospital. They also refused to give our towel deposit back even tho we had the cards they had giving us cause they lost our info in their towel registry…. Your better off renting a van for the week and sleeping with the 200 stray cats in the area

Mi estadía en el HM Alma de Bayahibe del 26 de noviembre de este año comenzó bastante bien: el check-in fue rápido y las áreas comunes lucían cuidadas. También quiero destacar que algunos empleados fueron muy amables durante nuestra estancia, como Esterlin en la barra de la piscina, el equipo del bufet, el muchacho del food truck y el señor que nos vendió la excursión a Altos de Chavón, quien nos envió con Dennis, un joven excelente que nos complació en todo el camino y nos trató muy bien. Sin embargo, la experiencia cambió al llegar a la habitación. El aire acondicionado no funcionaba; pensamos que podía ser algo de programación y decidimos esperar, pero al día siguiente seguía igual. Cuando lo reportamos, nos comentaron que ese aire ya había sido reportado previamente. Esa noche fue casi imposible dormir del calor, y aunque había abanico de techo, el aire que tiraba era caliente. Además, en esa misma habitación encontramos una cucaracha, algo que no llegamos a reportar por olvido, pero que definitivamente indica que deberían reforzar la fumigación. Ya molestos, regresamos a recepción y solo por insistencia logramos que nos cambiaran de habitación. Si no lo hubiéramos exigido, probablemente hubiéramos pasado toda la estadía en un “sauna”. Al día siguiente nos dijeron que fuéramos a solicitar una compensación. La “compensación” fue un desayuno en la habitación a las 8:00 a.m… desayuno que nunca llegó. Yo pedí una devolución parcial del dinero, pero nos dijeron que no traba

Unfortunately, my recent trip to HM Alma de Bayahibe was quite a letdown, primarily due to the state of the facilities. The resort is definitely on the older side and is in serious need of a makeover. Many areas feel dated and worn, which detracts significantly from the "all-inclusive" experience. ​A major source of discomfort was the room's sleeping arrangement. The sofa bed was noticeably old and extremely uncomfortable, making for very restless nights. The resort needs to urgently upgrade this furniture to match modern comfort standards. ​Another area that fell short was the service in the dining areas. While the food was adequate, the restaurant servers lacked any discernible personality or warmth. The interactions felt purely transactional, missing the kind and welcoming spirit that makes a vacation memorable. ​However, there were a few saving graces that made the stay bearable. The air-conditioning worked perfectly, which was essential for combating the heat. Furthermore, the view from the room was lovely and relaxing. Lastly, the front desk staff were exceptionally helpful and efficient, standing out as the highlight of the resort's service team. ​While the front desk and air conditioning were positives, the overall dated condition of the property and the cold service in the restaurants made this a disappointing stay that I would not repeat without significant renovations.

The room was nice, the staff was smiley, energy was good ! The food was awesome ! Nothing to complain about. I recommend this hotel if you’re a laid back person who wants to chill and disconnect from their routine !
