Great place to stay when surfing El Sunzal. Friendly staff and fantastic location & views. No surfboard rentals on the property though so need to try next door or in town. Yoga only for groups of 6+. Extra pillows will go a long way

We spent a week at Casa De Mar and our stay was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a hotel close to the beach with a pool and dining options all on site, and food is excellent! If you choose to stay on the site, you never have to leave, but El Tunco is just a short 5 min walk. The hotel is impeccably maintained, hotel staff extremely friendly & helpful, always busy cleaning & making sure the grounds are maintained. They have two outdoor showers as you exit the beach to clean off sand. Will definitely come back next year!

Overall this property was in good shape and all the staff were very nice and pleasant. There were a few oddities but it was clean and well maintained. I don’t feel however the value for the money spent per night was worth it. Everything from drinking water and ice to use in your room was an extra charge. Food was just ok. Basic amenities, no in room fridge or luggage rack or table for your clothing. The people were the best part about the stay.
