An excellent and attractive inn in the heart of Sandwich, Massachusetts. We stayed in the building that was converted from a Catholic Church to an inn and restaurant. The food and service in the upscale restaurant were out standing. The room was well furnished and comfortable.

If you live in a Manhattan Studio you'll be right at home in this bedroom. Two people can't walk past each other in many places needing orchestration of movement. The bathroom is no better (one at a time please) and the tile and fittings are NOT what I expect for $350 a night.

Lovely stay in "the Sara Room" of the Painted Lady. The room and b&b was clean, comfortable -- especially appreciated the AC which was worked efficiently and was noiseless! The breakfasts were delicious and a nice start to every morning. We even had an opportunity to enjoy the badminton court in the backyard one afternoon! Chris and team really did everything possible to make our stay in this post-COVID environment as safe and enjoyable as possible..

Nice hotel, but overpriced and limited comfort

Publié le 5 juill. 2020 sur Hotels
The hotel is very nice and in good conditions. However, our stay was negatively impacted by two issues. First, we booked the Jarves room, but when we arrived the host seemed quite annoyed that we booked through a third party website, and told us that something messed up with names. In the end, he gave us another room (Pope room), with fewer amenities (e.g., smaller tv) and prepared for one guest rather than two (there was only one towel, and due to covid the second was never added). Second, the comfort of the room was lower than expected for the price ($300 per night, which was also higher that hotels.com told us): the walls between rooms are very thin, and the first night we heard the noise of the bathroom vent of the neighbor until 1am. The blinds are also not effective, and sunlight came into the room very early in the morning. The host also seems not very attentive to the guests, didn't feel very welcome there. Good breakfast in a very beautiful room. Overall, a fair stay, definitely overpriced for the service.

Thank you for your comments but we are extremely excited to have guests as we have been forced by the State to be closed for three months. The only frustation regarding a third party booking was the disclosure information you had NOT received which explains the COVID related issues, which directly impacts service. Just two weeks ago we were not even able to serve breakfast due to the dining room being closed. We wish only for a bit of understanding. We gave you a LARGER room with three windows. We explained during the check in process our inability to enter rooms after check in due to COVID. and that if you require anything our 24 hour telephone number to relay ANY issue. In addition there is staff available at the property 24 hours and each is capable of requests or deal with any issue. We are extremely attentive but are hampered due to COVID of our normal direct presence does not mean we do not care, quite the opposite. We only hope guests would understand the pressures we are under and our inability to share our grand smile upon arrive due to having to wear a masks and social distance. Regarding rates vs amenities and room size you were given a larger room with more windows. If only you dialed the number immediately for anything Staff would have responded in kind any hour of the day.
