Hirsch Haus

This comfortable house was completely renovated to extremely high standards in 2016. Accommodation includes a spacious living room with a wood burning stove and a TV snug. The double height panoramic window gives direct access to the garden and offers spectacular mountain views. A new luxurious kitchen leads to the generous dining area. The house sleeps 10 with 3 large double bedrooms with balconies, 2 twin bedrooms, 2 shower rooms and 1 bathroom.

The Hirsch Haus is located in the village of Köstendorf in the Gail Valley, Carinthia. This southerly sunny region of Austria enjoys warm summers and plenty of snow in winter making it an excellent all year round holiday destination.

The house sits on the edge of a nature park with views across the Gailtal valley towards the Italian border. There are lovely walks from the house including a forest walk to Sankt Steben Church providing wonderful views from high above the village. Not to be missed nearby are the gentle alm to alm walks in the hanging summer pasture valley above Egger and Dellach with Alms that provide magnificent food and drink for walkers. There are also spectacular waterfalls at Garnitzenklamm with several walking routes and refreshment breaks.

In the area there is cycling for all abilities including the R3 Radweg (Cyclepath) running along the valley from Kotschach to Villach, as well as a 950km network of mountain bike trails for the adventurous visitor.

Wintersports include lots of skiing options, the nearest resorts are Nassfeld (110km of downhill skiing 20mins drive away), the picturesque Italian resort of Tarvisio (33km of downhill skiing and 55km of cross country, 30 mins drive away) On the Weissensee lake 25mins away by car is a huge groomed outdoor skating rink, and lakeside cross-country skiing.

In the summer, the nearby Presseggersee lake offers freshwater swimming, sunbathing areas and restaurants. Activities include sailing, windsurfing while the Erlebnis Fun Park gives a perfect day of outdoor fun for the kids.

There is shopping in the local town of Hermagor, and if you visit we recommend you drop into the Semmelrock Konditorei for Café and Vienese patisserie made on the premises. For serious city shopping, there is Villach (30 mins by car), and historic Italian cities of Udine and Pordenone (1.5 Hours by car), or Slovenian cultural history in Ljubljana (1.5 Hours by car).

Het inchecken kon met een code voor de sleutelbos , gemakkelijk voor een late incheckHet huis was ruim, badkamers en keuken waren recentelijk gerenoveerd en met degelijke materialen ingericht. Keuken aan de kleine kant als je met 10 personen logeert (wij waren met 4 en dan was het Ok maar krap)Communicatie met eigenaar verliep heel vlot. Super mooue streek voor fietstochten .

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt. Besonders schön ist das Wohnzimmer mit großer Couch und dem Kamin. Es ist super viel Platz für große Familien und Gruppen. Wir waren zu 8. Bei 10 könnte es etwas eng am Esstisch werden. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Eine schöne Woche

Wir waren mit zwei Familien und Freunden da. Das Haus ist geräumig, schön eingerichtet, alles was man braucht. Schöne Umgebung und das Skigebiet Nassfeld ist nicht weit, der schöne Weißensee ebenfalls. Wie schon von anderen angemerkt, ist der Esstisch für 10 Personen zu klein.. Aber wir haben uns arrangiert. Wir würden wiederkommen!

Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Das Haus ist sehr schön und es war super ausgestattet. Der Tisch im Essbereich war für uns 9 etwas klein, ansonsten ließ das Haus keine Wünsche offen. Der Kamin ist wirklich ein Highlight und der Blick aus den Panoramafenstern im Wohnzimmern waren wunderschön. Wir können das Haus und die Vermieter sehr empfehlen, sie waren alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Vielen Dank für den schönen Urlaub ... gerne wieder

Schöne Lage, netter Kontakt, doch das war es leider auch schon

Zunächst vorab: Das Haus liegt an einer schönen Lage. Morgens beim frühstücken die Berge zu sehen ist einfach wunderbar. Wir sind mit Großeltern und unserem 5 jährigen Sohn verreist. Platz war auch ausreichend vorhanden. Wir waren zu Weihnachten / Silvester dort. Allerdings gibts viele negative Punkte, die uns enttäuscht haben: - Sauberkeit: vielen Spinnenweben, Glasscherben auf dem Boden, Käfer im Bett, dreckiges Geschirr. - Sicherheit: Steckdosen nicht richtig verschraubt. Unser Sohn hatte diese beim rausziehen von Steckern die Steckdosen komplett in der Hand. Feuerlöscher ohne Wartung. Rauchmelder war nur einer im Obergeschoss. Kaminbesteck auch keines vorhanden. - Ausstattung: Das grösste Bett sah etwas geflickt aus. Der Rest der Möbel (mit Ausnahme der Bäder) sehr verwohnt. Ein Bad (mit Dusche; am Eingang) war stets kalt und kaum warm zu bekommen. Im oberen Bad bröselte die Decke und der Duschschlauch war unbenutzbar. TV Empfang war nicht vorhanden. Lediglich ein Smart TV. - Datenschutz: Die ausgefüllten Formulare anderer Gäste für die Ortstaxe lagen frei zugänglich für jeden Gast herum. Das hat uns sehr schockiert. - Sonstiges: Die Einfahrt sollte am ersten Tag geräumt sein, war sie jedoch leider nicht. Schneeschaufel oder Streugut war nicht vorhanden. Holz für Kamin war noch feucht. Mülltonnen waren ebenfalls nicht geleert und werden offenbar nur monatlich geleert. Nach 2 Wochen war dieser bereits überfüllt. Auch die Mülltrennung wurde nicht erklärt.

Urlaub mit Freunden im schönen Gailtal

Der Charme des Hauses wird durch die Kombination von Alt und Neu geprägt. Die Größe ist ideal für einen Urlaub in Gruppe. Besonders gefallen haben uns die modernisierten Bäder, die gut ausgestattete Küche und das tolle, große Panoramafenster zum Garten. Auch der Garten lädt zum Verweilen ein. Hier haben wir insbesondere die Abende mit Blick zum Sternenhimmel genossen. Die Zimmer hatten, vermutlich durch die vorherigen Regenfälle, einen muffigen Geruch, der sich auch durch Lüften nicht beseitigen ließ. Durch die Lage des Hauses hat man absolute Ruhe und nur Naturgeräusche um sich rum. Einfach herrlich. Um Infrastruktur zu erreichen, benötigt man zwingend einen PKW. Aber darauf waren wir durch die detaillierte Beschreibung eingestellt. Die Nähe zum wunderschönen Strandbad am Presseggersee haben wir fast täglich nach unseren Ausflügen genutzt. Weißensee, Weissenbachklamm und Ossiachersee sind weitere, schöne Ausflugsziele. Und auch ein Tagestrip an die Italienische Adria ist möglich. Abzugspunkt gibt es leider für die Sauberkeit des Objektes. Hier wäre eine gründlichere und sichtbare Reinigung wünschenswert gewesen. Insgesamt haben wir unseren Aufenthalt genossen.

Idyllische Lage

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus, sorgfältig und wunderschön saniert und für 10 Personen ausreichende Schlafzimmer und Bäder/WCs. Idyllische Lage, absolut ruhig und kein Streulicht. Brötchen Service möglich. Ausreichend Geschirr, allerdings ist der Essplatz deutlich zu klein. Bei 7 Erwachsenen und 2 kleinen Kindern war es schon grenzwertig eng. Ein weiteres Manko ist die geringe Sauberkeit. So gibt es Fenster die seit Monaten keinen Lappen gesehen haben und die nicht sichtbaren Bereiche sind deutlich vernachlässigt. Trotzdem würden wir wieder buchen.

Ferien im Gailtal

Wir haben unser Familientreffen sehr genossen, alle waren begeistert von dem geschmackvoll eingerichtetem Haus in absolut ruhiger Lage. Auch unsere Teenager haben sich sehr wohl gefühlt.Alle Geräte in der Küche sind vorhanden um mehrere Personen zu bekochen. Auch die Ausstattung der Zimmer hat uns gut gefallen . Aangenaam vakantiehuis op fijne plek

Het huis is erg ruim en comfortabel en we konden binnen 1,5u rijden veel uitstapjes maken. Aandachtspunten voor het huis zijn de buitenkant (licht in verval, terras bijna niet bruikbaar door te grote tafel en teveel stoelen op een te klein terras) en de hogere delen van de woonkamer (spinnenrag was tot ongeveer 2,5m hoog schoongemaakt, maar de bovenste anderhalve meter niet). Bij aankomst waren buiten enkele zaken van vorige gasten niet goed opgeruimd. Het huis rook nogal muf door de gordijnen en matrassen. Laatste detail was dat we ondanks toezegging van de eigenaar niet ter plekke ontvangen zijn, terwijl we wel op de afgesproken tijd aankwamen. Allemaal niet heel erg, maar voor de huurprijs wil je toch wel dat alles in orde is. We hebben verder absoluut genoten van het huis. Voor onze kinderen (4 en 5) was het aanwezige speelgoed wel te beperkt.

Geräumiges Haus in schöner Lage

Das Haus liegt super in der Nähe von Hermangor. Der Südstrand des Presseggersees ist genial. Garnitzenklamm, Weißensee, Villach etc. alles super Ausflugsziele die uns und den Kindern sehr gefallen haben. Das Haus selbst ist innen sehr geräumig und für 2 Familien gut ausgestattet. Besonders die neuen Bäder und die gut ausgestattete Küche verdienen ein Lob. Auch die Betten und Matratzen waren super und wir konnten alle wunderbar und in Ruhe schlafen. Der Kontakt Vorort (Kelly) war super nett und hilfsbereit. Also eigentlich alles perfekt. Negativ haben wir nur die Sauberkeit des Außenbereichs des Hauses wahrgenommen. Dieser entsprach nicht unseren Vorstellungen. Innen war sauber und gepflegt aber außen wird wohl nur der Rasen gemäht. Im Winter wenn Schnee liegt bemerkt dann sicher nicht das Fenster, Fensterbänke, Balkone etc. dreckig sind weil Schnee drüber liegt aber im Sommer war nun wirklich alles voll Pollen, Staub, Spinnweben. Da wäre eine Grundreinigung dringend angebracht. Nur deswegen 2 Sterne Abzug bei der Sauberkeit und dann auch 1 Stern Abzug bei der Gesamtbewertung ansonsten alles super und in Summe auch voll empfehlenswert.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen zweiwöchigen Urlaub im Juli, :? Ddas Wetter war leider etwas durchwachsen und wir konnten daher den Garten kaum nutzen. Das Haus ist sehr schön und in ruhiger Lage, mit dem Auto ist man aber in ca 15-20 Minuten in Hermagor. Man kann viele schöne Wanderungen machen und einige traumhafte Golfplätze sind auch gut erreichbar. Das Haus ist super eingerichtet und es fehlt an nichts. Das Gartenmobiliar könnte im nächsten Sommer mal erneuert werden. Wir sind mit 6 Erwachsenen und einem Kleinkind angereist. Für den Esstisch war das die Maximalanzahl an Personen. Mit 3 Autos kann man noch gut vor dem Haus parken, mehr geht nicht. Für uns war es das optimale Haus 😀
