Two supermarkets are also available in this parish. A tourist guide with all the necessary tourist information will be available in the village, helping you appreciate all the island's charms. Graciosa Island is part of the Central Group of the Azores and, with only 60.7 km2 of area and 38.9 km of coastline, is the second smallest island in the archipelago (after Corvo) and the lowest in altitude, reaching a maximum elevation of 405 meters. Notes: (1) High Season: May 1 to September 30, Christmas, New Year's Day, Carnival, and Easter. (2) Low Season: October 1 to April 30, except Christmas, New Year's Day, Carnival, and Easter. Ecosystems: The coastline of Graciosa Island has a steep indentation that gives way to the formation of interesting bays. It is predominantly rocky, with small sandy areas. It also has islets within walking distance that are of great scenic and natural importance, as they constitute important nesting habitats for seabirds. They also serve as resting/staging areas for migratory birds. Praia Islet stands out in this role, being one of the largest and most diverse nesting birds in the Azores. Graciosa Island boasts a diverse volcanological heritage, including volcanic cavities, lava caves, and sinkholes, as well as a marked landscape of geodiversity. The Caldeira, located southeast of the island, is worth highlighting as one of the Azores' most interesting geological attractions. With a cool climate, it is the island's wettest and most sheltered area. The steeply sloping interior slopes are covered in forest.
