Its perfect location, only 30 minutes away from the International Airport, 1 hour to the Pacific beaches, and centrally located to the main attractions of Costa Rica, makes Casa del Sol your perfect vacation stay in Atenas. The center of this quaint and cute small town is only a 10-minute drive, where you will find a good selection of excellent restaurants, delicious bakeries, a weekly farmers’ market, and good-sized grocery stores.

Casa del Sol can sleep a total of 6. It has a colorful palette, a spacious open floor plan, and spectacular high vaulted wooden ceilings. There are large glass windows to enjoy the beautiful views from all angles and a spacious, fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, fridge, coffee maker, microwave, blender, and lots of cabinet space. The master suite is enormous and has a gorgeous mountain view overlooking full-grown trees, which tropical birds like Toucans and Mot Mots visit daily. The two guest rooms share the second bathroom.

The house combines vibrant colors, Costa Rican art, and a tropical atmosphere, making it a delightful home to celebrate your well-deserved vacation.

The crystal clear pool is only a step away. It is perfectly positioned to utilize the sun all day to heat the water and get to the most comfortable temperatures for swimming and relaxing. There are two covered patios, a must in Atenas, where you can sit outside year-round. Tropical gardens with several fruit trees (mango, banana, orange, tangerine) are wrapped around the house. Discovering the gardens is like a walk in the park; stroll around to collect your fruits, and start your day with a tropical breakfast on the outdoor patio.

Our property managers, Klaas and Sandra de Graaf, a multilingual (English-Dutch-Spanish) couple from the Netherlands, are ready to welcome you to Casa del Sol and will do everything they can to make your stay a great success. They can arrange for your fridge to be stocked with your favorite groceries upon arrival or for a home-cooked meal to be ready on arrival.

As an additional service to our house guests, we offer a fee-based airport pick-up and drop-off to help you avoid the potential hassles involved in the transitions into and out of your time in Costa Rica (something to consider when you have night-time travel plans, particularly but a nice comfort to have in any event). We also provide Car Rentals and tour services to all corners of the country; for example, visit Poas and Arenal volcanoes, La Paz Waterfall Gardens, Catamaran sailing tour, an Organic Coffee farm, Zip Lining, ATV, White water rafting, Horseback riding, Surfing, and other custom-made tours to our guests' requests, throughout Costa Rica.

Weekly cleaning is included for guests who stay longer than 10 days. Our wonderful housekeeper, Isabel, is a jewel.

The standard rate is based on two people. Additional guests pay $15 per person per night extra.
