I’m writing to share a very disappointing experience my family and I had when we tried to stay at this hotel.
From the moment we arrived, no one offered assistance or even basic directions on where to park. Staff at the entrance were too busy chatting and laughing with someone else and on the phone to acknowledge us. I had to figure out parking on my own and ended up in the basement. My wife and I, with our two small children, had to carry all our luggage up ourselves no help was ever offered.
At the front desk, we weren't greeted. When I tried to check in, we were denied because our children (both under 15) didn’t have IDs or birth certificates. This is unusual and, frankly, unreasonable as most minors don’t carry identification, either here or in the U.S.
We had to leave and find another hotel, where we were treated with basic kindness and respect.
To be fair, a staff member (I believe the manager) later contacted me, apologized, and said this shouldn’t have happened. He asked for my email to follow up I appreciated the gesture but I never heard from anyone again, even after waiting four days.
As clean and modern as the hotel looked, the way the staff treated us made it not worth staying there. This was just our experience, but I hope it helps others make informed decisions.
