The breakfast was awesome! It really showcased all the wonderful local flavors of Otaru, and it was the perfect way to spend our last morning in Japan with such amazing food. The room was very clean, functional, and modern. We spent most of our time outside exploring, but the room was a relaxing and comfortable place to recharge during our trip. There were a couple of minor downsides. The fan in the bathroom was a bit too weak, so the ventilation could be better. Also, in the public bath area, there were many tourists who didn’t seem to know how to use the facilities or follow the bathing etiquette, which was a little disappointing. However, this is not the hotel’s fault – it really comes down to how guests choose to behave in such a nice facility. The parking was excellent. The staff kindly helped us use the indoor automatic parking system, so our car was protected from the piles of snow overnight.
The room had a fun, retro ship-themed atmosphere. I’m sure kids will love the secure bunk bed!
The canal is just a short walk from the hotel, and we also stopped by the LeTAO bar while we were exploring the area.

Worst hotel I’ve stayed at in recent memory. Smoking room in lobby pours cigarette smoke throughout the hotel. Unbearable in lobby and second floor where the restaurant is. Also smells of cigarette smoke in our rooms.

Hotel location is very good and walking distance to many places of interest especially walking to the canal and the JR / Bus terminal. Rooms are not big but sufficient to have a good stay especially the family room. Would not hesitate to recommend to others who’s going to visit Otaru.

A great choice of hotel in Otaru. Great location, right on the main tourist street in the town. Excellent modern property with a cultural and historical twist. Very good breakfast with both Japanese and western options. I highly recommend this property and would stay here again if visiting Otaru again.

The hotel is located very centrally - only one block away from the Otaru canal. The immediate area featured tons of dining options. The room was small but very clean and functional. My only very minor complaint is that there is no coffee maker in the room. Everything else was great and I would definitely stay there again.
