Even when temperatures rise slightly above 55°F but stay in the low 60s, the heater may produce minimal heat and may not significantly warm the pool.

The only way to guarantee a consistently warm pool during colder months is with a gas pool heater, which can operate in very low temperatures but requires substantial gas usage to maintain warmth.
