Vacation home in dream location at the national park, dogs welcome

This detached 4-star holiday home enjoys an exceptional location on the western edge of the Northern Black Forest, high above the Rhine Valley. From here, you can enjoy far-reaching views over the plain – on clear days, even as far as Strasbourg Cathedral. Nestled in a quiet cluster of individual houses, the setting offers a peaceful retreat while remaining easily accessible.

Dogs are especially welcome here. The large property is fully fenced and offers plenty of space for sniffing, playing or simply relaxing nearby. The German Tourism Association (DTV) has awarded the home a "3-Paw Classification" for its excellent dog-friendly facilities. Up to three dogs are welcome. A separate freezer is available for BARF feeding.

The house offers three bedrooms with high-quality mattresses and accommodates up to five guests. A wood-burning stove adds a cosy atmosphere to the living room, and the large panoramic window brings in natural light and beautiful views. The kitchen is well equipped, and high-speed fiber-optic Wi-Fi is available.

The Black Forest National Park begins just 7 km away – ideal for hikes starting right from your doorstep. The Hornisgrinde, the region’s highest peak, is about a 1.5-hour walk on scenic trails. Cyclists can safely store their mountain bikes in the private garage, where e-bikes can also be charged.

The nearby wine village of Sasbachwalden (5 km) offers a variety of restaurants, cafés, an award-winning bakery, a small supermarket and an excellent butcher. Two guesthouses with spectacular views over the Rhine Valley are just a short walk from the house.

Culture, wellness and day trips are also within easy reach: Baden-Baden (45 min) and Strasbourg (55 min) make for wonderful excursions. Families will find many leisure activities in the area – from outdoor swimming and playgrounds to ranger tours, wildlife parks and the Europa-Park theme park.

In winter, several ski areas, cross-country trails, snowshoeing routes and even an open-air ice rink are within easy reach. Please note: access to the house is via 50 steps (interspersed with flat sections), which can require some care in snowy conditions. Of course, we will clear and grit the steps before your arrival to ensure a safe and welcoming start.
