The location was horrible we were not able to get in because we were so nervous there are homeless people everywhere. You have to pay 20.00 a day for a parking garage when you go to book your stay they never mention that. We went in the apartment it has a very musty odor there was mold in the bathroom the ac would not go down pass 76. They have WiFi but you have to use your personal streaming s you would have to put in your personal information. Not giving them access to my personal information. We called and informed them that we would not be staying and we wanted a refund they offered to place us at another location. Why would we trust them to give us a new location on what they gave us was falsely advertised?. Out side the only two windows was an alley with garbage cans and trash. I reported them to my credit card company and we are now demanding a refund. We had to go find another hotel and pay again for the remaining nights of our trip. Sonder is a horrible company there is no way they could have fixed all that was wrong and i donât trust them to stay any where else that they run and refusing to refund my money when I called the several times that I got there inforces bad customer service and refusing to give customers money back when you did not stay for more than 30 minutes on a 3 day trip oh the parking garage is 2 to 3 blocks from apartment so you have to carry your luggage through roads of construction and homeless people
We stayed as a family for 3 nights and thought the property was great and very convenient location, barely used our car during our 4 day stay. Would highly recommend.
Overall a poor experience at Sonder Telfair Square with some major issues that made our experience very unpleasant. We had four main problems:
- On arrival we found the lift out of order (a note on it simply said âcontact managerâ) with no other means to access the rooms. After some time, we eventually (after asking many local businesses) found a very dirty, unpleasant back emergency entrance in an adjoining street. This door to the street and the rooms were then left open for our whole stay and so anyone could access the building.
- Apartment was not fully clean and dirty (and very smelly) dishes had been left in the dishwasher.
- Advertised gym has closed down and no free alternative is provided.
- The walls are very thin and we were kept awake until around 2am with noise from next door. There is also a bar right outside with loud music and an outdoor screen.
I therefore cannot recommend Sonder and would suggest looking elsewhere for better accommodation in Savannah.
The check in process was seamless and the place was nicely furnished with plenty of replenishments. However, we did have trouble sleeping in with the location being right next to a bar, and it was playing music non stop from 10am on the weekends
The maple biscuit company you can enter inside your building , the security the building have & the condiment
What i didnt like the living room sofa bed was already broken and was un comfortable,
Wonderful location. Very walkable to River walk, plant riverside. Very nice place, clean. Love the amenities. Parking is expensive and confusing. We ended up paying 28$ a night 4 blocks away and walked everywhere . First night the bar next door was a little noisy but was quiet after 10:30pm.
VERY thin walls - can literally hear everything, so ear plugs (which they provide) are an absolute requirement for sleeping - this unit is not an ideal spot for light sleepers. Otherwise, if youâre a heavy sleeper, itâs a great spot - prime location, well-stocked unit, and comfortable.
The property was great, private bath for each bedroom, Nice size dining/living room, clean, modern and felt totally secure. Only thing I would suggest would be additional seating in the living room. Would definitely stay again.
The restaurant/bar in the alley way (right outside the apartments window) is VERY loud. My family (small kids) and I could not go to sleep until well after 2 am.
Renovated and comfortable apartment in historic downtown Savannah.
All communication and guidance about the stay took place through a Sonder app, which made the stay easier.
This was the perfect location for our first visit to Savannah. We were central to everything we wanted to take in. The restaurants on Broughton street were remarkable. The property was quaint and easy to access. We laughed when we saw ear plugs on the table. We learned quickly why they were there. The walls are paper thin and construction starts at 7:00 am and garbage pick up is bright and early at 5:00am. All the amenities needed were plentiful on the property except be forewarned that there is no parking. The parking garage discount was great but the walk in the rain with all our luggage was not. We would definitely stay again the only glitch was the fire alarm going off in the building on our last night. We evacuated but no one told us if or when we could go back in. Lastly the day of our departure we had someone try to come into the property at 8:00 and our checkout was 11:00am.
