This is the perfect Ocean Front Sea Ranch getaway! Enjoy a wonderful fire in one of 2 fireplaces while watching the surf crash into our cove. Whether a romantic escape, a family vacation or a small group of friends, this is the place! We welcome your children. No pets please!!!!!

Our private patio has a gas BBQ and Hot Tub with views of the Pacific Ocean. The Master suite has a balcony for that sunset glass of wine.

Easy access to the Bluff Trail. Golf, Tennis and Swimming less than a 5 minute drive. Bring your bikes or your hiking shoes and explore the trails. Kayak or SUP on the River. The town of Gualala is 5 minutes away with restaurants, groceries, coffee house and quaint shops.

Point Arena Lighthouse is a 45 minute drive with the artsy town of Mendocino another 20 minutes up the Coast! Wineries a short drive away.


Enjoy the game on the 42'' Flat Screen TV via DirectTV (satellite) or watch a favorite movie on the Blue Ray DVD. There are three recreational facilities available as part of your rental: each with a pool, tennis and paddle ball courts and locker room with sauna. Firewood for fireplace provided. High quality linens are included. Kitchen is well stocked from Spatulas to Coffee Maker.

Ocean Knoll is lovely, comfortable, clean, and usually quiet except for the nearby ocean. From the living room we have seen foxes, whales, deer, and recently a bobcat. The host is gracious and helpful. Sea Ranch is one of our favorite places.

My husband and I have stayed at this property three times. I have not reviewed it previously because I didn't think I could add anything new to the many wonderful reviews already available. This time, a few days before our stay, I heard from the host that there would be a construction project next door (unbeknownst to the host earlier). I was offered several options including a partial refund for construction days. The host does a lot as far as going beyond the call of duty in proving creature comforts and also updating the rental to make it increasingly better such as superior audio visual equipment and opportunities. The host strikes a good balance in not going overboard in excessive expensive improvements that would increase the rent astronomically but rather does engage in common-sense improvements that make a big positive difference. So we are very comfortable in this balance, and it gives us a good feeling. On a different note, the location is one of the best as far as being adjacent to the most awesome of the Sea Ranch bluff trail.

The perfect relaxing getaway on the Mendonoma Coast. The location can't be beat with beautiful views of the ocean and coastal cypress trees. Just outside the living room and kitchen window we got to watch a fox, deer, and quail roaming. From the doorstep you have access to miles of trails along the bluffs that continue inland. Inside is cozy, very clean, and well-appointed with everything you need. The host, Caryl, was great with providing information and getting us situated for our stay. 100% would stay again. It was exactly what we needed to unwind and soak in the peaceful setting from a comfortable home.

Absolutely Perfect!

This vacation property is outstanding! The pictures Online are great, but the actual home is even better. The location could not be any better. The views are amazing. Windows are everywhere. The sound of the ocean waves crashing on the rocks is so relaxing. Checking in and out was a breeze. The property owner is very welcoming and responsive. Our experience could not have been any better.

Beautiful home, pristine clean, fabulous host

Ocean Knoll just makes me happy! One can walk out the door, across the yard and directly onto the cliff trail that can be hiked for many beautiful miles. Or from a window seat, you can watch a dancing fire in the new wood-burning fireplace while simultaneously gazing at crashing ocean waves. Bliss! The layout is comfortable (easily shareable) and private, and the kitchen is well equipped and easy to cook in. It’s nice that Gualala is nearby for supplies and cafes, though we felt little desire to leave “home." We enjoyed the downstairs patio and hot tub, and especially catching sunsets from the upstairs deck. Not to mention swimming in Sea Ranch's very large pool and taking advantage of its saunas. Plus Caryl made us feel so welcome. This was our third visit, with more to come I hope. No fuss; just perfect in every way!

lovely home coastal trail home

We love staying at this property. The coastal trail access is superb and the house is well-stocked and very clean. Lots of books and games to use during the visit as well. The pictures online don't do the view from the living room justice.

Perfect stay


The previous reviews don’t lie. My highest compliment to a rental property is whether I will go back - no doubt on this one. The house sits above a small cove with ocean views out every window. Thoughtfully furnished with anything you might need including two wood burning fireplaces. Don’t hesitate to book this property.

Wonderful spot in Sea Ranch

We've stayed in Sea Ranch many times, but this is our favorite home! We had strong storms roll in which we really enjoyed watching right from our window seat. Plenty of spots to tuck in and read. We brought food and cooked most meals and the kitchen was great with everything we needed. Host and contact company were both great!

A magic place in Sea Ranch

We stayed in Sea Ranch in many homes, and this is one of the top two. We were at awe from the moment we entered. The view is indeed fantastic from both floor windows. The house is furnished with great taste and attention to details. It is also stocked with everything necessary, and I cannot think of anything which should be added. The place is luxurious for a couple, and very comfortable for two couples, or a couple with 1 or 2 children. It will be on the top of our list when we travel next time to Sea Ranch.
