Comfort + privacy near magical Second Valley beach. Great for families.

If you're looking for a place to relax for a break from the city, you have found it. Featuring a delightful leafy native garden with tall shady trees, the home is a beautiful, private retreat with fully upgraded kitchen and bathrooms on both levels.

Perfect for the summer - let the cool beach breeze flow through the house or cool off down at one of SA's finest beaches, and in winter unwind and relax by the fire and enjoy the beautiful country views.

There is lots of space for a large family or families with separate living upstairs and down. Upstairs has polished timber floors throughout a large kitchen, bathroom, open plan lounge and dining and 2 bedrooms with a queen bed each. There is also a romantic fireplace for those chilly winter evenings. You are welcome to bring your own firewood or a box of wood can be provided for a small fee. Ask when booking or during stay, please do not take from stockpiles.

Downstairs has a separate kitchen, small dining table in living room, a bathroom, and a large bedroom with a double bed and 2 singles with trundles.

The kitchen has all amenities including coffee pod machine (Nespresso pods), Microwave, Gas stove, Oven and all utensils, etc.

There is a separate BBQ area with a large outdoor table and chairs under cover outback.
Or you may choose to sit on the deck that looks out at the bluff and farmland and normally get a lovely evening breeze.

We are pet friendly and have a fully fenced yard. Dogs allowed outside and downstairs but not upstairs as they scratch the polished timber floors.

BEDDING: Pillows, quilts in covers and mattress protectors are provided but please BYO Sheets, pillowcases and towels. Linen can be provided on request for an additional $20 per person.


Second Valley Beach is a short walk away with the local Second Valley Jetty Kiosk there if you have forgotten anything or would like to enjoy a great meal from their takeaway menu. They also hire kayaks and SUP boards, book these early during peak season!

For those who love to catch their own dinner, there is fabulous jetty fishing from the Second Valley jetty or if you're a boatie, the Wirrina Boat Ramp is just a few minutes drive away as well.

Second Valley, voted one of the best beaches in Australia, offers stunning views of the coastline and is popular for swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving where you may catch sight of the leafy sea dragon. Being only 90km South of the Adelaide CBD and between Normanville/ Yankalilla and their popular cafes and pubs, and the Cape Jervis Ferry service to Kangaroo Island.

Second Valley Property

Had a great stay here! Although the outside of the property needs a bit of sprucing with cobwebs and fly screens the inside was well cleaned. Had everything you could wish for entertainment wise. Would stay again.

Fantastic comfortable home

Place was really clean, comfortable beds and couches, huge TV and thoughtful touches for adults and families. Kitchen had all amenities you could require, and plenty of crockery and cutlery. very pleasant walk to the beach and easy drive to Normanville. 10/10!

Tranquil and spacious

This property is in a quiet neighborhood (except for the birds!) only 5 minutes walk from Second Valley Beach and well accessible to Carrickalinga, Normanville and Deep Creek Conservation park. Very clean and roomy - has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Beautiful place - well appointed

One of the best properties we’ve stayed at . Everything you could possibly need, easy to find everything . Great set up with 2 separate areas upstairs and downstairs , and a fenced area for dog. A beautiful kitchen upstairs! Location ideal, second valley is a beautiful beach . We look forward to future visits

Property needs immediate garden care , outside is a mess , a fire hazard.not representative of photos taken in advertising so honestly was not happy on arrival, stayed for 2 weeks was mostly windy so the use of the deck was very limited. Inside home was well equipped.

Second Valley Weekend Escape!

Beautifully appointed Beach House in quiet street close to beach overlooking fields. Plenty of room for Family, friends and fur kids. Safe & secure yard with lots of room to roam and park nearby for runs. Huge TV for movie nights and Netflix available; plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and relax inside or outside on lovely deck. Lovely bathtub for relaxing and unwinding after escaping the city and settle into a chilled weekend. Lovely big fireplace to warm the whole house! 🙏🏾👌🏾 Will definitely be booking Again! Quiet, clean, convenient location. Toasty warm fire for cold nights!

Property was well presented, clean and tidy and everything necessary for a relaxing holiday weekend was in place. We loved the combustion heater that kept away the cold winter days and nights. Location is excellent, just a 600m walk to the Second Valley beach. It's a quiet place and you could hardly hear the occasional car going past. Lots of bird life in the garden to enjoy. Place is laid out very nicely and the labelling of the cupboards in the kitchen is a nice touch. The owner was very good to deal with. We loved the combustion heater, it keeps the whole upper floor very warm and cosy, without needing to burn a whole lot of wood.

Perfect Location

What an amazing little holiday home!! The kitchen was absolutely stunning and had all the utensils needed!! The living room was a massive space that everyone could hang out in!! The beach was only 500 metres away and was the perfect walk straight down there!! My friends and I had a great time away!! :)

Great location and well appointed house

Loved our few days away with girlfriends. Walked in Deep Creek and around Second Valley everyday and earnt our G & T's and food. Loved having a fire.(bring your own wood) Walking distance to Leonard's Mill for a degustation. Lovely clean house and great set up with downstairs completely self contained also. Would definitely recommend.
