The heater didn’t work, it is the end of December with freezing conditions. Not acceptable. The bed is not comfortable, but we could put up with this… with the heater situation no way !

The hotel was impeccably clean and the quality of our accommodation (room, bathroom, separate WC) was very good and well fitted out. The restaurant offered a choice of set menus and a la carte and we noticed that there was a good childrens' menu. Our food was excellent and beautifully presented. Drinks were reasonably priced and there was an extensive wine list. The continental breakfast was fine. Staff were friendly, polite, helpful and very attentive. I plan to stay at this hotel again. It is difficult to find fault with this hotel, my one small complaint is that hot water took a while to emerge ftom the taps, i suspect our room on the second floor might be at the end of the pipe run! The village of St Hippolyte is delightful.

Lovely hotel for a night's stay

We were lucky enough to park right outside the hotel when we arrived. The reception was extremely friendly. The balcony opened up to a beautiful view! The breakfast was rich enough for the price and the lady serving there was extremely friendly and nice.

Weekend Siteseeing Stay

Along with our college-age son, we spent two wonderful nights here on a weekend site-seeing trip when he visited us after our recent relocation to Europe. The hotel is ideally situated in the middle of the quaint town of Saint Hippolyte making it an ideal location to start exploring the town on foot or by car to the other nearby beautiful towns; the wonderful Chateau du Haut Konigsbourg is very close by but is definitely a drive-to location as it is on top of the high ridge overlooking the town. We were able to park in the lot of the cathedral across the street but I'd imagine in the peak tourist season parking becomes a challenge. We had two large and comfortable adjoining rooms with their own full bathrooms; our bathroom was particularly large. The bed was very comfortable but we found the pillows to be a bit too small for our liking. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner, breakfast, and snack / nightcap; the food was excellent and service fantastic! Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and know that we will be returning either by ourselves or when other visitors want to explore the Alsace wine region.

Splendid family hotel

We often stay here when we are in Alsace. Comfortable, friendly and good value. Good food in their restaurant but note the hotel is closed during Wednesday as is the restaurant. We were caught out this time but there is a new restaurant opposite which is excellent. Good competition.

Lovely hotel in the heart of the vineyard

Excellent, family-run hotel in the heart of the Alsace vineyards. Very pleasant rooms, friendly staff, very good restaurant specialising in Alsatian cuisine with good local wines. Decent prices for both food and wine. Parking can be tricky but free. Worth checking if it is a rest day as the restaurant is closed. Alternatives are fine but part of the pleasure of the hotel is dining in. During vine harvest, local grapes are free at reception and delicious.

Accueil sympathique. Hôtel bien placé. Chambre propre mais à rafraîchir. Chauffage trop fort pour pouvoir dormir agréablement. Lors de la réservation, il était indiqué qu’il y avait un parking alors que ce n’est pas le cas, nous avons du tourner un certain temps dans le village pour trouver une place.
