The hotel was conveniently located within a 5-minute walk from the JR station, although if one is new to Sendai, it could be a bit hard to find since it's not on a main road. It was however very convenient to access the Sendai subway and buses, as well as shopping and dining options in the area.
The hotel seems to be recently renovated as the interior was well furnished. There is a self-check in requirement which is a bit new for me, but otherwise it was smooth.
My room was well-equipped and was comfortable. It was fairly standard for Japanese accommodations so I don't have any complaints. The wifi worked well and I enjoyed a very pleasant night's sleep.
There was no complimentary breakfast offered, but it was not a big deal for me.
The luggage storage was also self-served and requires an IC card. There were instructions in English so it wasn't hard to figure out.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay at the hotel and would consider again for future stays in Sendai.
First, I'd like to thank the staff, the manager got me to a new room that worked for me. However this hotel has something really strange the fan in the bathroom cannot be turned off, the same fan was emitting a high pitched whine. I was about to just lose the days I booked and get another hotel because the sound was very irritating to me. In the end I got switched to a different room that had the bathroom separated in a way that I couldn't hear the sound. Personally, I wouldn't stay here again and I probably won't book with Sotetsu Fresa again. I've stayed in many other business hotels and never had a problem like this before
Convenient location, nice staff, clean and quiet room, comfy bed, although the room was a bit small. It provided various kinds of amenities that were free to take.
I enjoyed my stay here very much
This is a relatively new efficiency hotel within walking distance of the Sendai JR station. Clean and comfortable room. Reasonably priced breakfast with many options. Friendly front desk staff.
Excellent breakfast, superb selection of amenities, quiet, clean and comfortable rooms, and such friendly and helpful staff. I will be staying here from now on over other properties in the area.
The Sotetsu Fresa Inn is one of the best three star hotels in the downtown Sendai area. It’s conveniently located to Sendai station and near shopping on Clis Road. Being that it’s on a side street, it’s very quiet. The rooms are small but efficiently designed, the beds are firm and comfortable, and the Japanese buffet breakfast is one of the best I’ve ever had. The only negative is that the shower curtains have a musty smell due to humidity during summer months. I would imagine this isn’t a problem in winter, but I’ve found this to be a common problem with any hotel in Japan that uses cloth shower curtains.
