Gorgeous 1838 Greek Revival home in historic Seneca Lake with with lake access.
Fully restored 1838 Greek Revival home with all the modern amenities. The house sits back five hundred feet from the main road and is surrounded by five acres of woods. The house has two living rooms and is large enough to accommodate a huge group. It has a huge inground swimming pool that is very seculaded.
The house is so nice and big! 6 bed rooms instead of 5 as indicated in the presentation. We stayed at this house for the 70.3 Musselman, witch is about a 20 minutes drive from the race start. A great option with kids.
Chandra was quick to aswer our questions and very helpfull. The pool was nice and clean. Little suggestions to improve the kitchen: add a toaster 4 slides and a set of ustensils (fork, knife, spoon). I recommand it very much!!
A beautiful place to bring a family together. 12 stayed over, others dropped in from Rochester for a meal or two and a swim. The pool was very popular.
House was nice & roomy. We had a party of 10 and we never felt crowded. Pool was great! Plenty of bedrooms & bathrooms. Check-in was fast & easy. Kitchen was stocked with cooking essentials. Host was readily available & responsive. Would stay again!
We had a great stay at this property! One of the best parts, which wasn't pictured, was the screened-in porch. The owner was quick to respond to messages.
The entire family loved staying here. This place is gorgeous! Big, clean, and updated. And the pool was especially enjoyed by the kids. A nice place for an escape in wine country.
This home hums with history and grandeur and is well cared for as well as lived in (not formal and stuffy). It was the perfect place for my daughters and I to tune into each other for a couple of days as one of them celebrated a birthday while we let the world be 'out there'. We enjoyed the heart of the home (the kitchen), the north porch and the pool this very HOT July! Even the dog fell into the relaxed rhythm, on his first official vacation away from home. We loved it!
The house is very spacious and located across the street from Cayuga lake and is convenient to Seneca Falls. There is plenty of parking and the pool was a big hit. A few things to note: the upstairs AC couldnât be adjusted separately, which made it hard to regulate the temperature at night. The home appears to have been an inn at one point, which explains the layout and some of the quirks. The kitchen could be better stocked for large groups (ie, water glasses, utensils). Also, the owner stores some food in the fridge/freezer and the fridge switches to sabbath mode on Saturdays. The fire pit isnât pleasant to look at, but there were so many bugs out over the weekend that we didn't use it. Despite a few inconveniences, we appreciated the space and had a fun and relaxing time.
Our family stayed at this huge house to celebrate my dadâs 85th birthday. There was plenty of space for 8 adults, 1 teen and two pre-teens. We cooked most of our meals to enjoy together, so the large equipped kitchen was very helpful. We also enjoyed the pool and screened in porch. The house is close to Seneca Falls, although thereâs not much there to see or do beyond the Womenâs Rights museum and park, which we enjoyed. We took a day trip to Watkins Glen State Park for a gorgeous hike and another to Skaneateles, where we had a wonderful lunch at Dougâs Fish Fry and visited some cute shops. It didnât matter to us, but note that the lake access is across the road from the house. Youâd have to drive over if you plan to SUP.This is a great house for a large group like ours. We loved the peaceful setting and were glad to be able to stay together in one place.
Your property was the absolute perfect spot for our family to gather for my sonâs wedding, at not to far, Ventosa Vineyards. The amount of bedrooms and bathrooms made it so much easier for everyone to have their own space getting ready for wedding rehearsal and on the wedding day. Coming from the Buffalo area, and most of us being big Buffalo Bills fans, the large screen tv in the sprawling living area, made it wonderful for us to watch the Bills win on the first night we checked in. The weather was perfect for a daytime swim in your beautiful pool, and just looking at all the beauty and the history your home has to offer was amazing. Thank you so much for the memories.
Nine adults stayed here for five days for a family reunion. This historical house worked very well for our group. It has plenty of space for both relaxing on your own and gathering together with the group. The kitchen is very well stocked, and it has lots of room so many people can be prepping meals together. Additionally, the grounds are lovely. We had a wonderful time thanks to the comfort of the house and its convenient location. If we were to return to the area we wouldn't hesitate staying here again.
This was the perfect place for our bachelorette party. The character of the house was so adorable and the space was perfect for the size of our party. If we ever decide to stay in the area again and need a large home we definitely would book again!
Overall, the stay was great and the house was very clean. The owner communicated quickly, but was very disrespectful and rude when I told her we threw out items left in the refrigerator. You would think there would be an empty refrigerator, especially for a house that sleeps 12. The owner became very rude when I said we threw out a few items which we assumed were left from the last guests. We had no idea the owner was living there too.
This was my second vacation at this spacious home, and I was not disappointed. The home is spotless and everything is there for your convenience. 3 of the bedrooms have attached bathrooms which allowed some privacy for our group. There are many stores down the road if we needed anything - Walmart, Tops, Sauders, etc., yet we were very private on acreage and the home is set back from the road. The pool was extremely clean, the beds are comfortable, and the central air made the home very pleasant on these hot days. If you are thinking of renting this home, do not hesitate to do it!
This beautiful home has everything! I didn't have to bring anything for my family on our 7-day vacation. The house is extremely clean and the furnishings are lovely. The central air was definitely a plus! The bedrooms are a nice size and we all slept well in the comfortable beds. The property is very private and the gardens are exceptional. We had bonfires and s'mores at the fire pit and swam every day in the huge, clear pool! There is also lake access, so my daughter was able to launch her paddleboard on the lake. We didn't have a problem that needed a call to Chandra, however we did have the pleasure of meeting her and her husband. They are wonderful! I would rent this property again for our next family vacation!
The property was perfect for a large group get together. There was enough room for people to get together or do their own thing if needed. House was well equipped with everything needed, and was comfortable and cozy!
We enjoyed your home and the setting. Thank you for accommodating our large family group. The street number was off by 10 digits, which led to some confusion that was easily remedied.
