The bathroom on this level is accessible during your stay.

***You must provide your own firewood for the fire pit. You may purchase firewood at the gas station or at Knockout Firewood located at 3264 Wears Valley Road. Please, do not bring wood from home. Don't forget to purchase matches or a lighter and starter logs for the fire pit!

The outdoor charcoal grill is available for use during your stay at Bears Up There. You must provide your own charcoal, lighter fluid, and matches.

1 Bears Up There is approximately 10 miles from the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park via Line Springs Road. This is a great location for Wears Valley Cabin Rentals and for couples who love the outdoors. Metcalf Bottoms is a fantastic picnic spot in the national park and features tables, grills, and the cool waters of the Little River. Take Line Springs Road for approximately 2 miles and there you will find Metcalf Bottoms - the place to picnic and wade and play in the river.

There are hundreds of hiking trails to enjoy in The Greats Smoky Mountains National Park. Laurel Falls is an excellent choice for couples looking for a beautiful waterfall. The seasonal pool access and year-round fishing pond access are included in your rental when you stay at 1 Bears Up There. However, you must provide your own fishing poles and bait.

If you are planning on visiting The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and will be parked for longer than 15 minutes, you must purchase a parking pass.

You may purchase daily, weekly, or annual parking tags from the stores listed below. Store hours change seasonally so be sure to check online before heading out to a particular location.
Please Note: Daily and weekly parking tags purchased in person at one of the locations below must be used starting on the date of purchase and daily tags expire at 11:59 PM EDT on the date of purchase. The same is true for weekly passes. Weekly parking passes expire at 11:59 PM EDT 7 days from the date of purchase.
