On the main level of this cabin you can "Kick Back" in the living area where you can enjoy the stack stone gas fireplace, 55" Flat Screen TV w/t Direct TV and Blu-Ray, or step off onto the wrap around porch where you will find the 5 person hot tub and rockers. Perfect for enjoying time outdoors in the crisp mountain air after a long day of activities in town. Grill out on the charcoal grill and enjoy dining on the porch. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals during your stay and there is a separate dining area just off the kitchen for family meals. A stack washer and dryer can be found in the adjoining closet just off the kitchen area as well. You will enjoy all of the comforts of home, but in the beautiful Smoky Mountains. This level of the home also hosts the guest bedroom and a shared bathroom with a tub and shower.

I’ve stayed at 7 VRBOs in the last 3 years and this is the first negative review I’ve ever left. VRBOs get abused and you have to overlook things some times. This is different. Owner is not being truthful in the listing. He is advertising an indoor pool and 2200 SF. Both are lies. The pool heater is permanently broken and the place is only 1,560 SF according to Zillow, realtor, etc. It’s obvious as well when you walk in. Afterwards, he wants to “make it right” but I rely on reviews and I’ll protect the integrity of reviews here. I would have been able to overlook the burned out porch lights that make navigating the front steps difficult, the fireplace that didn’t work, the back yard that is a mess as others have mentioned, the scary railing situation that others have mentioned, the dining table that is on its last leg, the AC that can’t keep up in the afternoon, the tight parking being on top of 3 other cabins, the trash that won’t latch that brings in bears (is this a positive), the blankets that do not get washed at checkout, and all the silly small things that simply just adds up to the cabin being rough. What I can’t overlook is paying $1500 more than I would have paid for a 3 bedroom and not had to share a bedroom with my kids, just so my kids would have a pool, only to find out the pool is absolutely freezing and they never have fixed the heater and do not intend to. “There is no timeframe for getting a pool heating engineer out.”

Beautiful cabin! Highly recommend!! Great location. Hot tub, deck and fireworks nightly made it a nice getaway a night from the busy days with the family. Very close to Dollywood which was very convenient. We recommend the Kick Back Shack!! 5 stars

Great cabin

A quaint cabin with everything available that you may need. The host was timely with answers and helpful during our check in and check out process. The hot tub was amazing. The location of this cabin is a great spot with a nice view from the back deck. We could see the fireworks at Dollywood right from our porch. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your cabin Ankur! This was my first experience booking a stay and I was not disappointed. Thank you.

Above and Beyond :)

This cabin was perfect for our family of 3 and our dogs. :) I had family staying in the area and we were able to have dinner together at the cabin. The best part of our rental was the Dollywood fireworks we could see perfectly from our deck. We were able to sit in the hot tub surrounded but porch lights and enjoy the fireworks every night of our stay. The neighborhood is active during the day but very quiet at night. Inside you feel like you are the only ones around. We had so much fun I have nothing but good feedback. Parrot Mountain is right down the road and it was a unique experience. Thanks for the memories!

This property is so out dated. The couch you sink in and cannot sit comfortably. The chairs on the porch are uncomfortable. The tub in the downstairs leaks. There is no land available for your pets. The back yard is atrocious.

Exceeded my expectations

Staying at this beautiful cabin far exceeded my expectations. The cabin was clean, spacious, and had an amazing view. The owner was extremely hospitable, accommodating, and responsive to any questions during our stay. The cabin was an absolutely perfect retreat for our family. I would highly recommend this property and plan to rent again in the future.

A wonderful way to spend a birthday in the smokies.

This property has a gorgeous view of the mountains. The cabin itself has a such a nice cozy rustic cabin feel to it. It is well stocked with pots, pans, sliverware and linens. Pool table was fun for the kids as well as the hot tub. We did have a couple of issues, nothing serious, but the property manager went to great lengths to make sure we had a comfortable stay and took of everything. This is really close to Dollywood and other attractions. We are coming back again to celebrate my wife's birthday hear next year. Thank Ankur for hospitality and letting us at your second home.

Beautiful Mountain Stay

The cabin was just what was needed to enjoy the Gatlinburg area. The views were outstanding. We visited the cabin right when the leaves were starting to change. A great place to stay with a family and friends that provided plenty of room. The owner provided immediate response when we ran into a minor issue with gate access. Highly recommend this cabin.

Our trip to the Smoky Mountains

Location was great, but the cabin is poorly maintained. There were leaks in the kitchen ceiling, broken window blinds and the deck had multiple broker/loose poles; very unsafe if you have with little kids. The cabin was not cleaned. There was dust and spiderwebs everywhere and the tub was filthy. The pool was also closed and we were not informed. Overall, I had a good time, but was not very pleased with my rental.

The heat was out at the cabin when we arrived. We did arrive late but we went our first night with no heat and the cabin reached temperatures as low as 56 degrees the first night. Thermostat wasn’t fixed until next morning. There were also many wasps in the cabin. The thermostat appeared to not be working again when we left.

Great location

We had such an amazing stay! My kids are already talking about coming back. The cabin is close to everything and only 5 minutes from Dollywood. It was clean and well maintained. The views were beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful location! Best we’ve had so far!

We enjoyed our stay at the Kick Back Shack very much. It was a quick drive to the main parkway. The cabin was overall clean, but could stand a little more attention to dusting. The most important areas such as floors, the bathrooms, & kitchen were very clean. My daughter had the upstairs & loved everything about it! The downstairs had plenty of space for our things. The washer & dryer were convenient. The kitchen had most things you would need. There were plenty of plates and glasses so as not to have to wash them each day. Starter supplies were furnished but be aware there were no starter packs of coffee, sugar, creamer, salt, & pepper. The TVs worked well with slight loss of signal at times. Tree trimming around the dish would likely improve that. The hot tub was wonderful & used nightly! The cover on it was the easiest I’ve ever used. It was designed in such a way that you folded the cover back in half and then it would fold back behind the tub out of the way. No lifting the cover off and placing it somewhere out of the way. BEST hot tub we’ve ever had in the mountains! The view off the corner of the deck was beautiful! The only negative was the downstairs bed. It was HORRIBLE! The first night I sit on the bed and couldn’t believe how loud and creaky it was. It had a dip in the middle & was just the most miserable attempt at sleeping ever. You couldn’t turn over or move without waking each other up. I dreaded the thought of trying to sleep on this bed for another 4 nights! I assumed we were stuck as no cabin owner is gonna replace a bed that a particular guest finds uncomfortable. After all, no two ever agree on what makes a bed comfortable. On our second night, I decided to have my husband help me investigate to see if we could make it better. It was then that we discovered the box springs broken in several places! My husband called that night but there was no answer. I found an email for contacting them & sent one out detailing the problem with the bed. We also called the next morning and reported it. We didn’t hear anything back and went ahead with our plans for the day. When we arrived back later that night, I found that the box springs had been replaced! So very thankful for that! While the mattress was not that comfortable for my taste, it was greatly improved! So overall I would very much recommend the Kick Back Shack. We hated to leave! Doreena & Carl Brandle KY

Beautiful location but a few cleaning issues!

The property is in an excellent location with great views! However, the beds were for hard/uncomfortable! Sheets on one bed were not clean! Stove/oven needs cleaning! Can opener was broken! Downstairs shower/tub needed to be cleaned! L/R rug needed vacuuming! Floors needed to be mopped!
