The WiFi was extremely slow, hot tub was dirty, the property was littered with beer cans, the trash outside was over flowing outside the designated bins, pool table is in a terrible place and no gas for the fireplaces or heater downstairs. Overall we enjoyed our time with family but will not choose this cabin again.
We stayed at Red Oak Ridge and had a very eventful stay. The first night we were flooded in and couldn't leave. We did leave the next morning but had to move a tree to get down off the mountain where the cabin is located. I called the emergency number to tell the operator that someone needs to come and cut the partial tree that is covering the road. No one ever came and cut the tree and my son had to get out and move the branches every time we came to or left the cabin.
The 2nd day we were gone all day and went to Dollyâs Stampede. When we came back the same tree I had called about previously had completely fallen and was now blocking the road. We called the emergency number again and was told to seek other accommodations because they couldn't find anyone to move the tree. We had to basically throw a fit when we were told this and they finally put us in a room for the night at the main office. It was a room very inferior to the cabin but I guess something was better than nothing. We had to go to Wal-Mart and buy toiletries and clothes since all of our belongings were in the cabin. The next day,at 11am, they finally got to cutting the tree so we could get to our cabin. No one ever offered any compensation for not being able to stay in the cabin we paid for 3 nights. We understand the weather can't be controlled but we also understand how to treat customers first class and this definitely is not an example.
I feel like the pictures made the house look way bigger than it was. The pool room was hard to play pool in and the internet didnât work upstairs or downstairs for the TVs. The view was beautiful and overall the house was really nice.
