This newest addition to the Home at Homes portfolio is a stunning property on the second storey of a stately building, which has been totally renovated whilst maintaining the essence of its distinguished past.

We have certainly fallen for it. As you most surely also will. Its spaciousness, a legacy from the architecture of old, the aristocratic lines of its façade, the height of the ceilings and the magnificent woodwork which gives the large windows and balconies a grandiose character and that slightly eccentric modernist touch so typical of regional Sevillian architecture.

The interior dĂ©cor is in keeping with all of this, combining classical elegance, a contemporary style and a certain dandy-ish design. The sobriety in terms of colour – greys, navy and dark brown – contrasts with the romantic warmth of the oak wood floors, the refurbished window shutters, and the vintage charm of some of the furniture.

The intelligent distribution makes the most of the 80m2 making up this delightful home. The main living space, accessed from the hall, is a large open area divided into two by statement pieces of furniture. A modern sideboard separates the living area, which is equipped with a large chenille sofa, a coffee table, a side table, designer lamps and two comfortable pouffes with knitted woollen covers. At one end is a small dining area for four or six, nestled in front of a large bookcase and under a distinctive art deco ceiling light. This living area has a large enclosed balcony and gallery overlooking the Plaza de los Refinadores, a charming corner in which to enjoy the sun or a good book, to make the most of the natural light streaming in.

The kitchen is one of the apartment's distinctive features. Here's where it all happens! It is part of the living room, yet conveniently separated by a glass wall. This means that it benefits practically all day from natural light. It is equipped to the detail and carefully decorated, so much so that it seems a decorative element in its own right, as well as being a multipurpose space for social and family life. There is plenty of storage in the spacious cupboards, which also house the white goods. The cement tiles on one of the walls serve to add a touch of colour, as a nod to the typical Sevillian architecture of the beginning of last century. White goods and electrical appliances are of the highest quality, and there is plenty of kitchenware and tableware. You'll never be caught out if guests arrive!

The sleeping area has two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a large queen-size bed and en-suite bathroom. Built-in wardrobes provide plenty of space and keeps everything tidy and out of sight, allowing a good night's rest. The bathroom is fitted with a rainfall shower.

The second bedroom has two single beds and a built-in wardrobe, and next to it is the second bathroom, in simple modern lines and also fitted with a shower.

The Plaza de los Refinadores is one of the most charming spaces in the Barrio de Santa Cruz, surrounded by traditional houses and ornamental trees which provide a welcome shade. It is next to the Murillo Gardens, one of the most romantic spots in the Seville, and very close to the Avenida Menéndez Pelayo, one of the city's main arteries, on the edges of the old walled city, just a short walk away from all the main sites: the old Tobacco Factory, the Maria Luisa Park and the Plaza de España, the Reales Alcåzares (Royal Palace), the Giralda and the Cathedral. You definitely want to be here!

Emplacement idéal

Appartement trĂšs agrĂ©able et joliment meublĂ© situĂ© sur une jolie petite place, proche de la vieille ville, de nombreux restaurants et d’une dĂ©licieuse boulangerie. Le marchand de churros est Ă  deux pas. Seule remarque : la literie de la chambre avec les lits jumeaux Ă©tait un peu trop souple Ă  notre goĂ»t. Le lave linge et le nĂ©cessaire de repassage sont apprĂ©ciables. Nous sommes arrivĂ©s beaucoup plus tard que prĂ©vu car notre vol avait du retard et on nous a quand mĂȘme accueillis avec le sourire. Une trĂšs belle adresse!

Our host was very attentive and made sure that we had all of the information for check-in and also information on all local attractions. The unit was very clean and the beds very comfortable. The kitchen and living space were spacious and the architecture very smart. Would love to come back and spend an entire week in the area with this unit as our base.

Bathroom leaked for the entire 2 days of our stay due to the in-ceiling air conditioning unit. This left the bathroom in a pool of water, and rendered it entirely unuseable. . Management came in to fix and left all their tools in bedroom. They ended up not fixing the problem while we were there. You can tell from the ceiling that this was not the first time that this has happened. They clearly should not have rented this out until the issue was fixed. Lisa, the on-premise manager was very responsive, however, when it went up the chain to senior management and owners, the response to this situation has been terrible. After weeks of back and forth, management/owners agreed to give us only 10% refund. However, it has been almost one month and I still have not received anything. There are lots of nice places nearby, I would not come back to this place.

Everything about this place was excellent. Furniture/bedding was new, clean and comfortable. Air conditioning and washing machine worked well and were easy to use. Kitchen had all necessities. Location was very good with plenty of nearby services and otherwise close to all major attractions.

Location, location, location

The old adage is true, and this place has it in spades. The location is ideal for a trip to Seville. It’s in the Santa Cruz neighborhood, close to everything, but it is a safe and relaxing home base just removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. Very close to the Cathedral, the Alcazar, and easy access to other desirable sights in this vibrant city. Highly recommended. The folks we dealt with were all great, timely responses, and they made it easy and convenient. Parking is the only tricky part, but that’s to be expected in the city center. I would return to Seville and stay at this place again, no doubt.

Better than in Photos!

This apartment in Plaza de Refinadores was by far the nicest place we have stayed in Spain. The apartment is in a central location walking distance to many must-see destinations and amazing restaurants. There were plenty of soft, fluffy towels, clean sheets and everything you might need to have a comfortable extended stay. The host was easy to communicate with and left great instructions for all features as well as recommendations for restaurants and activities. Beautifully decorated and professionally appointed space. We loved the common living areas, kitchen and bedrooms. Beds were clean, comfortable and above expectations. Seville is a very special city and we will definitely be making this a return destination for years to come. I would stay here or in any other Home at Homes rental in a heart beat.

Fabulous in all respects

This is one of the best rental experiences we’ve had in our many years traveling. The location simply can’t be beat; within a short walk of all the major sights and dozens of great restaurants. The bed in the master was super comfy. And the furnishings were comfortable and fit the space perfectly. We could happily have stayed forever! And the check-in process was perfect. The agent met us at the property, showed us around the apartment, and gave us helpful recommendations on where to find the market and the best tapas. The only minor nit are the two small single beds in the second bedroom. This place would not work for two couples and was not ideal for our adult son traveling with us. If the owner added an option to convert the single beds into a double, it would be perfect. Nonetheless, my wife and I will definitely be back soon.

We'll be back.

We loved staying in this apartment and we plan to stay there again. The location was perfect, close to some of our favorite restaurants and on an important plaza in the Barrio de Santa Cruz while still being convenient to city buses (good for traveling to a Betis fĂștbol game). Karin and Antonio were a joy to work with, and quick to respond whenever we needed them. The apartment was modern, beautifully decorated, and spotless.

Beautiful modern apartment in the heart of Sevilla. Pictures accurately reflect the space. Situated 10 mins away from Real Alcazar and next to the Jardin de Murillo. Easy walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. Apartment itself is set up for a family with two kids as second bedroom has two twin beds. Property has all the amenities of home including washer and dishwasher. Must have whatsapp to facilitate communication with property managers. Small thing to note is the hot water can run out between showers so would suggest staggering this.

Wonderful apartment in center of Seville

Clean and comfortable with nice beds and bathrooms. Location was excellent for walking to all major historic sites. Many restaurants and coffee shops are nearby. We highly recommend this apartment for four adults or a small family.
