It is a very nice hotel, very conveniently located on Nanjing Road (walking shopping street). The room is very clean with all the facilities. The people at the reception desk speak English. Breakfast is excellent with many options. One issue I had is the bath room. I found the toilet flush did not function well (old style), the switch for water draining in the bathtub was really stiff, I could not pull up, so I had to call someone to come to help me, as well the drain for the basin,... Overall, it was a nice stay.

Nice Rooms

Check in process was very smooth. The front desk staff was very polite. The room we had was very spacious and clean. I had a nice view of the Bund 👍. Room service telephone operator did not know English well enough for us to order our room service meal, we had a tough time placing our order 😥. Hotel restaurants service very limited. The Regent Chinese Restaurant was closed and there were no signs notifying the guests. We were told the Comely All Day Dining only served buffet and no A La Carte menu available during lunch time.

Our stay at the Crowne Plaza Shanghai Nanjing Road was exceptional. The hotel itself is beautiful, the foyer is stunning. The location is brilliant, you step out from the hotel foyer on to Nanjing Road. There are lots of shopping and dining options around the area. Our room was great, very spacious and beautifully furnished. I think we got great value for money. Would happily stay here again.
