Short distance to beach, town and attractions. Lovely building not in best condition but totally understandable and still good . Helpful and very kind staff. Beautiful view .
The staff were very friendly and welcoming but unfortunately the cleanliness of the hotel let it down. The kettle in our room was dirty on the outside and a few stains on the bed sheets also the paint work on the doors around the hotel were brown where they hadnât been cleaned. Such a shame as the staff were lovely.
Excellent location , great staff but very old and worn out rooms. No AC, dirty small pool. Breakfast is limited to set e.g. only 2 eggs , you canât ask for more. All menu items have set limited quality per person. No lift. Bathroom was dirty and small. Room service donât clean fully, just clean the trash.
Staff helpful, general decoration in need of update very tired. No food besides breakfast available. Rooms basic, towels left damp after use heating in bathroom to dry them.No room cleaning on one day.
I was there early october and the island was shut down for the winter. This created a deserted melancholic atmosphere that I enjoyed very much. Staff was very helpful with my flight back.
It was my first time at the Isle of Wight and it really is a place of outstanding natural beauty.
I very much enjoyed my 6 nights there.
Room was clean, quiet, and larger than expected for a single room. Parking was very convenient. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice and you could pick what you wanted.
Downside was that towel was not replaced, even though I stayed for almost a week. The carpet in the corridors to the rooms looked quite grubby and if this was replaced I think it would make a big difference, as the hotel does have a lot of positive points but doesnât give a great first impression.
Horrible four flights of narrow dingy stairs to room. No lift! Horrible 1940s carpet. In desperate need of modernisation. Shower didnât work. Room smelled of unbearable old socks
Points forts : Service et personnel, confort de la chambre
5 nights at Gracellie
We had a sea view room which was nice comfortable and clean with a good bed.
All the necessary things worked well - shower bath and toilet.
View was ok but spoilt slightly by the window privacy stripes to stop hotel rooms across the road seeing in or hide the large flat roof before the sea view.
It is a work in progress and they are doing their best with a good bar and pool also a really nice resteraunt with outdoor decking area which is also the breakfast room with a decent selection cooked well.
Could keep the carpark / front area better by weeding as it is the first thing you see whether passing or visiting.
We would stay again.
Thank you.
The manager was excellent and could not do enough for us.
The bar was good but needed a clean. Breakfast was very good.
Bedroom was a bit run down and seemed toshed over.
