This ocean view beautiful two story Nantucket-style home comes with beautiful one of a kind gardens plus fireplace patio area with hot tub and outdoor eating facilities. There is a fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances. The open floor plan and outdoor living area is perfect for family events and entertaining. There are two upstairs bedrooms, one with a freestanding library and double futon bed, the other with a trundle bed. Upstairs there is a double headed shower a newly remodeled bathroom. There are multiple decks. Down stairs there is the master bedroom with en-suite bath with Japanese soaking tub and bathroom office area and laundry room. The Garden area outside has been curated for guests in mind. There is a BBQ upstairs on the deck next to the kitchen and in the yard
You will find a hand crafted stone table, fire pit, hot tub and lawn area. The yard has been decorated in southern French/Mediterranean style

Check-in was a breeze, beautiful views and atmosphere, Most important to me , comfortable and I was able to relax. Communication w the owner was slightly difficult because the location and our phone serve, however, there was a land line and WiFi available, as well as, the owners phone number was listed in the written instructions. The location was great, exactly as I had expected nestled in to the amazing lost coast of California. However, for someone new to the area, the last 45 mins of driving is windy. I feel the listing could have been more descriptive in regard to the layout of the home ... addressing the fact that the master sweet was on the bottom floor and you enter on the top floor, there was an additional sleeping space in a separate building.... there are multiple sets of stairs to reach the many different elevations of this property. This was not an issue for us, we loved the amazing games of hide-n-seek with our sons, this gave us lots of great spots to hide in. This property is pet friendly, that being said I was not surprised to find what appeared to be dog hair dust bunnies in many spots. There are some unfinished areas of the home, as well as, there was some damages to the property that I feel need to be address. I was disappointed the fire pit was not working. The kitchen was a bit dirty with crumbs on the counter, food spatters on the face of the oven and some of the dishes in the cabinets also had food on them. The Bathroom situation was a concerning as you cannot flush TP down the toilet... and the past guests trash was left on the back balcony, gross. All that being said ...would I return to this property .... I would consider this property the next time we plan a trip to the Cove.

Great place to unwind!

If you’re looking to get off the beaten path this is the place to go! Clean updated mountain home with plenty of space for family of four and a dog. Amazing views from inside the home and the upper porch, and Black Sand Beach is a 5-minute drive or 25 minute walk. The owner (Heather) is super friendly and the check-in/our process was a breeze. Would love to come back! Small ‘item’ to consider for potential renters is the home does not have cable television, but there is a large DVD collection and a nice home theater system. Didn’t matter to us as we were out-and-about but if you’re conditioned to broadcast television you’ll want to bring along a tablet or laptop to stream it.

Beautiful and fun weekend spot

The location was perfect - short drive to the brewery, the beach and store. The view was amazing, the house was perfect for us and our kids. The backyard was perfect for entertaining everyone and the host was nothing short of exceptional. I hope we get to stay here every year!
