We went for our anniversary. We biked the island and enjoyed the sites.

Stayed here during the off-season (late October) on a mother-daughter get-away. The staff was very sweet and upgraded us to a larger room as we were the only folks in the place on our first night. The room however was a little tired (grungy couch) and the bed had to be 3.5 ft off the ground, which was very difficult for my mother to climb into. We asked for a step stool and were given the two-step fold up step ladder that the on site handy man uses. Additionally - the take-away breakfast was just...not edible. I understand covid makes things difficult, but for the price (expensive even in off season) - I was expecting a higher level of amenity and accommodation. The bathroom was really nice though!

Ask if there’s a wedding
Publié le 5 oct. 2020 sur HotelsBooked for my fiancé birthday we found out upon arrival the entire place was booked for a wedding and was restricted to using most outside areas all day Saturday. Everywhere we tried to move to was occupied by wedding events and the family members openly asked us why we were even at hotel. Very awkward.

Noisy kid and people above our room all night

a lovely time off when it was most needed

Shelter Island house is a great place to relax. Even with the covid restrictions it was a peaceful stay.
