Millie's Cottage

Relax and enjoy this recently renovated cozy cottage just 2.5 miles from the heart of Shipshewana. Close enough to enjoy all this small town has to offer and just a short drive back from a busy day at the shops where you can enjoy an evening relaxing under the large shade trees by the wishing well in the secluded back yard. From the front porch is a nice view of a neighboring farm and you can enjoy seeing the many amish buggies as they stroll by. If you have a sweet tooth, another perk is the cute little frozen custard /ice cream stand within walking distance of this cozy getaway.
Inside you will find wireless internet, dish tv with all your favorites, DVD/Blue Ray player, a gas log fireplace with comfy seating space to unwind after a long day as well as a cozy nook for reading or having that morning cup of coffee. A Keurig coffee machine highlights this bright full size kitchen stocked with all the dishes, pots and pans needed to prepare your favorite gourmet meal if you choose. Microwave, electric skillet, toaster, electric griddle and hand mixer as well as oil, salt & pepper and a complete spice rack are all provided. A sound machine is provided for each bedroom for those light sleepers who might need a little something extra to help them doze off at night.
This property is less than ten miles from the 80/90 Indiana Toll Road and only 43 miles from Notre Dame, making it not only attractive to football fans but to anyone looking for a nice quiet getaway. And another great perk; (No space heaters allowed)

54th Anniversary getaway

We have stayed at Millie's cittage several times, never to dussapoint. Carla is so quick to answer messages. Theur home is very clean and stocked with essentials. We took advantage of BlueFate Theatre and dinner Friday, and Blue Gate Performance Art. Again, not to dissapoint.

Cute little cottage

I stayed four nights and the location was awesome. Everything was spotlessly clean and well organized. Communication with the host was quick and helpful . I loved having a garage to park my car inside . There is a RV park and some cabins behind the property but they were very quiet so it wasn’t a problem at all . They have DISH tv which was nice to watch in the evening . The hummingbird feeder was definitely a highlight of my stay . The only minor issues is the internet is a little slow and a charging station on the nightstand would be helpful to charge your phone overnight. I can’t wait to come back in December to stay again. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Wish I could have stayed longer

This lovely little cottage is just as advertised. It's tucked back off the road, so my only challenge was driving by the first time I tried to find it. Cozy furniture, a great floor plan, and a wonderfully open kitchen made it a very easy place to stay for a night. I do wish I could have stayed longer!

Honeymoon Get Away

We were married on April 26 and choose Shipshewana as our honeymoon destination. We loved the cottage and found it to be well furnished and comfortable. We especially welcomed the extra bottles of cold water, and the hot shower. This was an easy location to go out from in all directions. It was a little difficult initially to find the address, but the picture helped us. We would stay there again. Five stars from us.

Always a great experience when we stay here. Best option when visiting shipshewanna. Clean, comfortable, a little home away from home. Living area with plenty of seating. Kitchen equipped with all the essentials. Front porch to sit and watch the world go by. It is about three miles from shops. Close to road leading to Michigan. Try this place for a little getaway. You won’t be disappointed.

Our 2nd Great Stay

This is our 2nd time staying at this cute and cozy home. The host is super nice and very accommodating. We went to two concerts at Blue Gate and this property is the perfect location for that. Just far enough out of town to be quiet but yet close enough to make it a quick trip to the venue and everything else the town has to offer. The home has a vintage vibe but also charming and very comfortable for two couples. We had a lovely time and will book it next time we come into town.

Weekend away

Great place for a getaway. Close to shops in Shipshewana, but far enough away to avoid busyness. Would definitely stay again. House was cozy and comfortable.
